Pre-covid, this white spot had some of the slowest dine-in service I’ve ever experienced. But we’re patient people and understand things aren’t always perfect in foodservice, so we continued to come and just knew not to come if we were in a rush.
Our first pick up order since quarantine, the hostess messed up and charged us again on pick up for an order we had already paid online. Fair enough, they’re still figuring things out and everyone should be patient since it’s a weird time, I thought. I had to go to the restaurant to get my money back (in cash, not even in my original form of payment) and nothing other than a “sorry” was offered. The staff were sweet about it, but I’d expect more from a customer-focussed business.
Tonight, we ordered some burger combos and the blueberry pie milkshake which says it comes with a little pie (see attached photo). We also asked the shake be split into two cups. Upon pickup, the shake was not split into two cups and the hostess said she hadn’t read that anywhere and handed us an extra cup to split it ourselves (see attached photo).
When we got home, we also found that there was no pie with the shake. We paid $6.99 for that as a separate item, when we could have got the shake as a drink with our combos for just $4.99. Assuming the $2 difference was the tiny pie, I feel a bit ripped off but not enough to go back to the restaurant demanding my tiny pie.
If it was just one mistake, I’d easily let it go but this white spot has been a consistent disappointment over the past few years. I’d recommend to management to work on attention to detail and customer care with staff. The sad part is we’ll probably continue to come because the next closest white spot is...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews but I felt like this was justified. White spot is normally a go-to for a decent meal for me but my experience this afternoon was absolutely disgusting. Immediately off-putting was the booth we were sat at which included a vibrating table and a constant humming from some unknown machinery on the other side of the wall. This was mildly irritating but ignorable because we were just happy to be inside from the heat. The place was not very busy so when we ordered we expected to get our food relatively soon. 1 hour and 30 minutes of a vibrating table later our food arrived and we were greeted with a disappointing brunch menu meal. Keep in mind during this 1 hour and 30 minute wait we received no refills on our waters or anything. No interaction with our table besides when we ordered and even that was a somewhat rude experience. Then when we had finished our meals and we were regretting our choice in restaurant already we started to smell this outrageously disgusting stench. My girlfriend started visibly feeling sick because of the smell. it was that bad. It got so bad that we had to tell our waitress we were going to wait at the front of the restaurant for the bill cause we couldn’t stay there. Turns out the smell was caused by the genius design of putting the garbage for the serving station right behind the half-wall next to our booth. That garbage had clearly not been taken out in a long time and the heat wasn’t helping. Overall I’m extremely disappointed how me and my girlfriend wanted a nice meal to start a off a fun day and we ended the meal disgusted and sick. I will not...
Read moreMy husband and I had many enjoyable meals at this White Spot in Mission and many enjoyable family dinners at White Spot in Walnut Grove. So when I planned another family get-together, for 11, I decided to stay closer to home and so made a reservation in Mission. The staff appeared to be completely unprepared or untrained for serving a group. We waited for close to one hour for our food. When I went to ask how much longer we had to wait I saw some meals waiting under the warming lights. The waitress said she was keeping them warm until all of the meals were ready so they could be served at the same time. I had to ask if she could refresh our drinks. And although there were 3 waitresses, no one helped our waitress with her service so the meals came to the table two at a time. My salmonburger was cold by the time it was served. And as the french fries were placed on the plate at the same time as the burger, they were cold and dried out. They were inedible. Luckily, I had my salmon in a lettuce wrap so I ended up with a salmon salad. The menu said charboiled hamburgers but they were all burned and dried out. My grandson couldn't eat his. After we had eaten I asked my granddaughter if she'd like dessert and she told me she didn't want to sit there for another two hours waiting for it. I don't like posting negative reviews, but I do think it's incumbent upon me to let people know what they can expect if they go to this location for with a larger group. And in closing, I want to add this cost...
