I’ve never been spoken to like this by a restaurant employee and I’m a bit shocked at the customer service. It was awful, hostile, sarcastic and unkind. I called on Mother’s Day (I’ve never been here and we were in the area and I was inquiring if I could place an order for 2 meals) the lady on the phone said, wow you’re funny, we don’t take orders especially not on Mother’s Day. I’m not sure what was funny about my question but okay. I said thank you for letting me know and then I asked, what if I come in, can I order then or is it no orders at all today, she said well it’s a 1 hour wait and I asked, is that for small orders too like just 2, 1/2 chicken dinners, and she responding saying, “what makes you so special that we would give you priority over other people” in an extremely rude tone and with a lot of attitude. I wasn’t asking for priority, I was simply attempting to clarify, I thought maybe she thought I had a large order or something and that’s why she was saying it’s a one hour wait and I just wanted to ensure it was a one hour wait for a small order too. I was so thrown off by her attitude, I couldn’t believe someone would feel that it’s appropriate to speak to someone this way and that too on Mother’s Day. My husband who was sitting next to me and heard the entire conversation was also shocked at how she was speaking to me. I told her that I was just asking questions and there was no need for the attitude and that she was being extremely rude and unprofessional, and that I was happy to take my business elsewhere. I do not recommend given the poor customer service. It was extremely upsetting on what was suppose to be a peaceful day. Sorry, that answering 3 questions is too difficult for this restaurant and is met with such a negative attitude and hostility. This was my first Mother’s Day and we were in the area looking to get a small meal with our baby and we didn’t know it was so busy and that the lady working is incapable of answering questions in a professional manner. Given the other negative reviews about the customer service, it may be helpful for this restaurant to invest in customer service training. I’m not sure what this lady is going through that she feels she needs to treat people in such a poor manner, I hope she gets the support and training she so desperately needs. The owners response may have been somewhat believable if they didn’t have so many negative reviews, that specifically highlight the poor customer service. It appears when someone does share a negative review, they twist the situation instead of engaging in any form of self reflection and taking accountability. Why would someone demand a restaurant take their order when there are 1000s of other restaurants in the area that aren’t rude to their customers. I did not demand anything and I do not wish to continue to engage. I have better things to do on Mother’s Day than waste my time dealing with miserable people. I hope they get the help they need so others don’t have a similar...
Read moreA friend posted his meal from this restaurant last week and my husband insisted we give it a try.
I will say you can smell the food a as soon as you turn on the street. The parking lot of the mall permeated with the smell of the food and it smelled like heaven 😊
Walking in you are greeted by a smoky atmosphere which reminded me of many local spots back in my homeland.
Having never visited before the process was not complicated at all, the screens above had the menu but a printed version was also available on the counter where you place your order.
It is not an overly huge restaurant, there are no traditional tables available however there are some window seating with stools.
As you move down the line you are able to view all the food and everything looks delicious 😋
The staff were very busy and the hustle and bustle was felt. It was hot and humid but they smiled through it.
We ordered two half chicken dinners, one with rice and potatoes (mild sauce) and the other with potatoes and steamed veggies (hot sauce). When we got to the cash I ordered one shrimp, one cod and one chicken Patty.
Unfortunately I did not get my hot sauce that was such a disappointment as the lady in front said it was really good. The chicken was seasoned well and you could tell there was charcoal used.
The rice was seasoned well and the potatoes were a bit soft but still very tasty. The shrimp and cod patties were delicious but I wasn't a fan of the chicken. There is quite a bit of oil possibly from potatoes but honestly it didn't even phase us. Everything was delicious.
As there was no hot sauce I added Sriracha when I got home.
The portions were good and I wasn't able to finish so leftovers for dinner tomorrow.
We will definitely be back and hopefully next time I'll get my...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer of Brasa's for many years. Recently, however, I had a troubling experience with a new Indian employee. On August 14th, I ordered a 1 1/2 chicken and requested that the sauce be placed on the side rather than on top. The other staff members, who know me well, have always accommodated this request without charging me for extra sauce. However, this new employee informed me that there was a 50-cent charge for the sauce. When I questioned why she was charging me while others did not, she raised her voice, became aggressive, and repeatedly said she would not give me the sauce. She further stated that she only gives free sauce to customers she likes.
While the 50-cent charge for the sauce is not a significant issue, it is the principle of the matter that concerns me. The particular behavior and interaction I experienced were incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and disturbing. Not only was the treatment disrespectful, but she was also argumentative with other staff members who supported my request.
I want to emphasize that all the other staff members at Brasa's are great and have consistently provided excellent service. As a frequent customer who visits Brasa's nearly three times a week, I find this particular behavior unacceptable.
I will be reaching out to Brasa's management regarding this issue, and they are welcome to contact me for further details. I urge Brasa's management to address this matter. Such conduct is not suitable for front-line customer service, and she might be better suited to a different role, such as washing dishes in the back. Customer service is a priority for me in my own business, and I hope Brasa's will take this...
