SO DISAPPOINTED!! Enough to leave a review, which I never do. I was excited to see this place had opened up near my mom's house, and wanted to introduce her to the deliciousness that is shawarma. Well... Epic fail for that. This is the worst I have ever tasted, anywhere. I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars. I wish I had read all the negative reviews first (again, how is this rated so highly??), and these lead me to believe this wasn't just an off day for this location. Sad we spent a lot of money for food we're ready to toss in the garbage. The food was so bland. Absolutely no flavour. I didn't know that was possible for Middle Eastern cuisine. If I were blindfolded, I wouldn't have known I was eating a Shawarma wrap. Dry pita with very little meat or toppings inside. I don't think there was a single grain of salt, let alone other spices in the lentil rice. The garlic sauce .... Not a hint of garlic. I assume it was just watery mayo? Gross. (Wish I hadn't ordered extra) Beef kofta was incredibly dry. The shawarma platter we ordered didn't have the potatoes, which was the whole reason we ordered the platter. And the beef on sticks , on top of the blandness, didn't come with the toppings in the description. Don't even get me started about the fact that they force you to buy a pop with every item you purchase.
We ordered so much food, ready for some tasty leftovers, and we don't even want to finish our first plate. Needless to say, my mom has no desire to do Middle Eastern ever again. I will definitely not be...
Read moreI've done a number of reviews for this chain as it's one of my favorite shawarma chains. I was beyond happy when I saw the new location here in my back yard. Unfortunately, as many reviews already mentioned, this should not be rated as high. The chain staple should be the chicken, they receive the items & sauces from same supplier, but how they use them is up to store owners. Some owners value profits over quality. This is the case here. Chicken is dry, no flavor at all, I feel most of it comes from previous day, the unsold meat is brought back out. Wrap crumbles, tastes weird, very very little sauce. Their top level spicy is actually mild. I would not go back. In order of top stores for Lazeez, do yourself a favor and go to 6085 Creditview Rd, Mississauga. Next best would be in Oakville 2427 Trafalgar Rd. (I did not try all of them yet in the GTA). The positive stars for this location is that to me the staff was nice & friendly, it was quick (Creditview store can take 20 min cause its good & popular), and this place was very clean. If they dont improve, watch what happened to Lazeez Milton on Ontario St S. They were the worst, they closed very fast before Covid, because after the new open honeymoon phase, noone would go back. Don't make same mistake guys, with delivery apps now, clients will order from the better locations if you...
Read moreI have no idea how this place has a 4.7 average rating. The staff is friendly and accommodating, yes (only reason for 2 star rather than 1), but the food is horrible. We had a chance to try most variation of their meals (large and expensive order) and had come with a high expectation of tender chicken and beef based on other shwarma experiences, but it was barely edible. And it’s not better coming out the other end next morning (sorry to be graphic, but that’s how bad food travels). First and definitely only time here.
Response to owner 2022-05-09: While I appreciate the follow up and it is clear that the people involved care (as mentioned in original review), I am not going to pursue anything privately. There isn’t much to understand. The meat was dry, tough, and mostly tasteless and several of us spent multiple unpleasant trips to the toilet the next morning. You can’t make it better for us and you’ll never see us again. You can pay attention to your food every...
