ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD!!!!!!

UPDATE: And continues to be.....(AS PER COMMENTS BELOW:) I went again yesterday with my friend and we changed up....he had the CHICKEN & SHRIMP LINGUINI ($19) and I had the THAI COCONUT BEEF & SHRIMP CURRY. I know pasta and shrimp are the money-makers for restaurants but this stuff was well worth the penny!!! Delicious flavours and generous meat portions and my curry was very flavourful with a good little kick to it. THANKS CHEF & the kitchen. The BRISTOL ON RATHBURN has never disappointed!!!! GOOD PUB.....GOOD GRUB!!!!!!

I have the occasional lunch with an old friend and the BRISTOL has NEVER disappointed us with their service and food. A shout out to MONTANA for indulging us and doing a great job in checking in on us. My friend always goes with the SALMON....a very generous 2-filet portion on a lovely soft bed of rice and freshly cooked veggies. My STEAK SANDWICH was a lovely cut of strip steak and cooked perfectly to my medium-rare specifications which few pub kitchens manage to do. They might still be working out some of the glitches, but in spite of a few tiny, unimportant little boos boos, I will say that the food is delicious, it seems fresh, and the service is friendly and efficient. The menu is very extensive, and just as a small point of criticism, I think it's too varied. Like chef Ramsey says, keep it simple and excel at those items. The new decor is bright and inviting (so many giant tv's, omgawd, how can a person concentrate on having a friending connection over a nice pub meal?) I guess they specifically want sport people to come in and eat and watch tv. Anyway, my feeling was that they are trying to be everything to everyone and I personally don't think they need to. Our waitress was very accommodating, smiled, was happy to serve and seemed quite genuine, and our food was delicious. Try the home made French fries, and the wonderful, cheese laden pizza. Yum. I'll be back, watching how this lovely little local...

Fantastic food, stellar service. Chef Raj knows how to make it & make it right. I’m always impressed by his devotion to good, clean, nutritious, multi-faceted entrees & creativity with daily specials and the care everyone puts into an outstanding and fun experience. Great regular community crowd blended perfectly with newbies. Huge flat screens, best music, an entire open concept section for families that like “lively” as much as being able to hear conversation. My husband and I, along with other community business owners & residents lucked out with this transformation. Shout out to the staff (off the top of my head - sorry if I missed anyone). Lana, Tamra, Angela, Rachel, Samantha, Maggie-May - thanks for taking over, turning this into a great food, vibe venue and most importantly, our Rathburn community living room.
