I went to visit a friend of mine, and had to pick a place to take him for something to eat and have a beer. So I googled bar and grill near by. Cudas appealed to me because there was not one bad review, as some others had. So off we set, nice greeting at the door, it was genuine. Got seated beers supplied quickly along with the menus . The owner told us of the specials . I picked the lamb chops with rice and veggies with the curry sauce lamb cooked to the doneness requested and the spice level of the as requested also. My friend had the salmon with veggies and other stuff. The presentation of both plates was very nice! These guys know how to operate a restaurant perfectly! It was the real thing , these two brothers and their lovely daughter take a great deal of pride in what they do. So the quality and service is second to none! Every pub, bar, cafe and restaurant I visit, I always order the same thing in the beginning - fried calimari. Not only because I love this dish and it pairs well with virtually any beer, but also because it's a fair way to judge every kitchen anywhere I go. This pub is sort of a hole in the wall; you wouldn't really notice it as you drive by, but if you're lucky enough to visit and try the dishes inside... best calimari I've had in a long time. Never judge a book by its cover and in this case, this quaint, unassuming local spot nestled in a strip plaza in a residential area in Lorne Park is not what it seems. No matter what dish you try, it’s absolutely jam packed with flavor. Cuda’s is great with accommodating requests like swapping sauces or adding spice to dishes.
