This erin mills location is not only the worst Mary Browns store there is but the most horribly run business I've ever encountered, and I dont make the statement lightly. Anyone planning to visit this location I highly recommend you listen to my story first.
About a week ago I made an order via skip the dishes. Upon arrival of the delivery, the people I was eating with and I realized the chicken was extremely stale and uneatible. I called the store immediately to voice my displeasure. I was offered a replacement free of charge, and though that doesn't do much for someone whose hungry and waiting for his food for nearly an hour, I was nonetheless satisfied with the offer. They took down my name and number and made note of it.
A few days later I called to redeem my offer, after being met with some resistance the women agreed to honor the deal and told me I'd only be responsible for the delivery fee. So i made the order again via skip the dishes.
This is when things took a turn for the worst. The driver arrived at my door asking for a full payment of $46. I thought surely there must be a misunderstanding, so I called the store to resolve the issue.
This time a man answered, suffice to say he was rude, ignorant, and seemed highly uneducated but surely not qualified to be working in the field of customer service. He told me that it wasn't his problem that I was lied to and that I should deal with it. I asked if I could speak to the women I was speaking to earlier, he told me she was fired for honoring the offer they made, and I'd have to pay in full, even though I had just spoken to her less than a half hour earlier.
I asked to speak to a manager but he refused, I asked for his name he also refused to give it to me. He then started calling me names and hung up in my face. All this while the driver is waiting at my door for a payment on an order I would've never made had I known they weren't going to make up for the stale chicken I received last time. I started calling back but they wouldn't answer my calls.
After being forced to pay in full skip offered to refund my money. But this nightmare experience wasn't over yet. About 6 hours later a police officer knocked on my door and told me that the man from mary browns had called and complained about me calling the store over a 15 minute period.
The officer was even more in shock than I was. He couldn't believe that someone would waist the time of the police over something so juvenile, while there are a lot more important things he could be doing with his time like solving real crimes or potentially saving lives. After a few minutes of discussing with me just how low of an embicil youd have to be to call police over such a thing he was on his way. He suggested to avoid problems that I complain to head office rather than going to the store, which I was obviously not gonna do ever again.
This story I just told as unbelievably ridiculous and outrageous as it sounds is 100 percent true. So before you think of visiting this erin mills location or making any orders from there just remember, there Customer service is beyond poor, its non existent.
They have a mob like mentality, they gang up on their customers and treat them with no dignity no respect and no appreciation whatsoever. To the contrary theyll go as far as calling you names hanging up in your face and insulting you. They can't be trusted, if they say theyll do something it changes within a few minutes and everyone of them has there own say. You can get 5 different answers from 4 different employees. None of the promises one makes means anything the second you speak to another one of their coworkers, even there food taste like it was made over 24 hours ago or more. Not just a few hours old but days old.
Take my advice and try a different location because Mary browns chicken happens to be really good it's a shame that locations like these give the...

I am delighted to see that they have re-vamped their menu. They now have more variety on their side dishes. This option is key because Popeye's has an option for a platter which includes 2 sides for just a few bucks more.
The chicken and food has always been good here. The portions are now proportionate to the price paid which brings it up to par with their number one competitor.
A job well done Mary Brown's..well done.
I decided to drop in and try the chicken tenders. It has been a while since I visited a MB’s chicken.
I do hate to nit pick about the portion size because I think that service and taste are more important. So I am not trying to be harsh. But rather, I am focusing strictly on value here because there are so many independent food establishments that all require our combined support during the pandemic.
I ordered the 5 pieces chicken tenders combo with fries. When I picked up the bag, it felt really light in my opinion. But no worries.
I return home and I open the box and I am thinking where is the rest of my food???
The combo is $12.99 with a drink and it comes out to just under $15.00.
I feel like this is not a proper value at all at this price point. The service is good and it tastes quite good but not to the point where it is memorable or above the competition.
But for this price range, Popeyes wins hands down for value because the taste and quality are quite similar.
You can all judge for yourselves ...
This gets an Fail grade for me. Which saddens me because I do try to support all Canadian businesses. Maybe I will get the chicken pieces ... I really don’t know ... but maybe their value and portions rest on their chicken pieces dinners and not the chicken...
Read moreI've started going to this location AT LEAST once a week, since it was so close by and convenient, 3 days after it opened up. But today is the last time I'm setting foot into that location. In the 15 minutes that I waited for my large taters, I've seen more kitchen rules broken than I ever wanted.THEY DID NOT WEAR GLOVES, that includes the times they put chicken into the fryer, serving food, and serving gravy. I've seen them stuff their hands into the bucket of batter, pull out a chicken and put in the fryer, wipe their fingers on the think they wore, the proceed to serve gravy...WHICH ENEDED UP WITH THE SERVERS PINKY IN IT, and this was all done WITH NO GLOVES. Like this server literally pulled a spoon full of gravy, and while pouring, it went over her pinky and into the container. I'm sorry but this absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I did end up asking the front cash "hey do you guys have a policy about wearing gloves??" And she proceeded to answer "oh ummm..we wash our hands...". I'm sorry but that's an absolute lie, if you'll choose not to wear gloves then at least wash your hands after every thing you do... don't touch chicken batter then scoop taters with your hands and throw it into the fryer, and then proceed to do other things that are not washing hands. 15 minutes...not a single person washed their hands.i saw 3 cooks, one with a shirt dirtier than an attic, along with a second cook who DROPPED A BOX on the floor, was laughing, picked it up, then PUT MY TATERS IN THERE! DISGUSTING....and what's with the 3 front counter reps, for a 2 cash register area. Too many people working in the back and NO management, all young kids, who probably think handeling food with hands without washing is ok. Never comming back, you guys lost a family of valuable customers, and honestly better check your employees before a food quality official goes in there and shuts you down after seeing what I've seen...
