EDIT
I did say I would never go there again.. (read below) .... I caved I guess? The bottom line is I think it's only fair to mention that I have been to this location 3 times since the original review, and "Cringe" I'm lovin' it "Cringe"
The staff were completely friendly..... being vigilant when hiring helps us all.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
Terrible! I live almost dead centre in between this Mcdonalds and the one located in Sheridan Mall on Erin mills Parkway/Southdown. I always go the Sheridan location because the food is better, I have had several Sausage Egg Mcmuffins at this location, and they were dry. They were horrible. I had an issue with more than one drive through representative. The management needs to hire staff who have MUCH better customer service skills. The people who work there are rude.
The reason for this review is because I was in the strip mall where this McDonalds is located on the Lakeshore just East of Southdown Rd..My 3 year old wanted some fries. So instead of driving to Sherridan, I decided to just drive through and get the fries quickly (Wasn't so fast though. Even with no one ahead or behind me?)
After ordering, I asked if they could substitute a small fry for a large in a happy meal, but they said that they would/could not. I had to buy another portion of fries. And of course the drive through rep had attitude as usual? I have had issues with substitutions before at this location. The Sheridan location does not nit pick nearly as much. They will try to please the customer as best as possible. Even if that means a small substitution. God forbid?
So I guess my point is that this latest and "FINAL"visit to this particular McDonalds location has solidified my previous feeling towards them. Next time I will drive the extra 5 minutes to be treated as a customer should be...
Read moreConsistently omits food purchased, and Lizzie, the store manager, validates the Peter Principle
This location regularly leaves out food paid for and good luck trying to get an actual refund. When part of my one meal of the day is missing and I have to spend 30 minutes on the phone trying to rectify the problem, the food is ice cold at that point. When you ask most people what the worst food to reheat is, the answer consistently is "McDonald's" - even 5 seconds in the microwave for their fries turn them to limp mush.
They want to give you food to avoid a negative reflection on their shift. A shift manager can only refund $10 IN TOTAL per day.
At this point we had guests arriving so there was no chance to even consider eating cold grease, but apparently that was my fault. I was told by the shift manager that I could receive a full refund, but only through the power of Lizzie. It seems Lizzie doesn't care what her employees say to customers on behalf of her store, she quickly transfers the blame to the customer. Never an apology for leaving out items, but will berate you for not coming back right away to get food.
This is a store that consistently does not care when they leave out items, and clearly led by a manager who has zero interest in making things better. Could this be the pinnacle of Lizzie's career? Hopefully Lizzie stays out of customer service in future endeavours because she clearly has zero grasp of what customer...
Read morePicture: egg McMuffin on receipt, McGriddle is what I got
Okay that’s it. I’ve had it. this place is filled with people, but not functional ones. Look, I’m not being mean. I’m speaking the truth. A few years ago this place was fine, but within the last year or so, the service has gotten WAY worse. Like; it’s actually COMMON they get your orders completely wrong. I think it went under new management and the new owners hire just whoever. Like, It’s not that hard. An egg McMuffin is not the same as a fried something McGriddle. Even the wrapping is different. This happens all the time. Like not little mistakes either, like they put on too much ketchup. Like big mistakes like putting a whole different sandwich in the bag. It’s so annoying. This one time I got annoyed and went in to complain (and I never do this). And one of the workers straight up laughed at me to his coworker. I’ve had enough. Like idk what else to say. It’s honestly kind of funny how absurd it is on a daily basis. I get breakfast here for convenience every day. I get an egg McMuffin and a coffee. Like, come on, I get the rush can be hard in the morning, but they make mistakes that, I don’t even know how it’s possible to make. I swear, next time I will go in, ask for no pickles, and they will hand me a jar of pickles in...
