This is probably one of the slowest Tim Hortons location I have ever come across. They take way too long to go through a queue of customers, even if it's not at peak hours. Often time, they leave a whole line of customers abandoned for some time, as the cashier goes off somewhere, and the line ends up becoming so long...that it extends to the part of the dining area.
One time, I was trying to order a chicken wrap, and I had to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes before placing my order. Afterwards, I had to wait another 15-20 minutes to get my food, and often times they run out of particular ingredients, so they offered me a substitute, which disappoints me. They know that they'll be having a huge number of students ordering from them, so why don't they bring more ingredients next time?
Once I do get the food, at certain times, they got my order wrong, and I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for them to correct my order. In the worse case scenario, I'll be waiting for almost an hour to get my food, which means I will be starving, and because of that, all the seats in the dining area are taken. So I'll be forced to go elsewhere to eat, which pretty much ruins my experience.
In terms of food, I also find it quite ridiculous that they are only serving three kinds of Timbits, and they didn't taste as good as I initially had thought. The rest of the food that I tried from them, like coffee, wraps and sandwich, were alright...but I felt like I expected more due to the price...but that's just an issue with Tim Hortons in general.
Ultimately, I wish that this place would improve in terms of speed and food quality. A lot of students buy food from this location, and they shouldn't have to wait so long, that some may end up going to...
Read moreAs I pass by the Davis building every time I arrived at UTM during my time there for another day of classes, this Tims is characterized by its long line ups from morning until 5 pm, especially at lunch time because this is the only Tims on campus after the closure of the North Building. I thought that if it is popular with students, the food must be good and hence it is worth to line up. However, do not judge a book by its cover.
In addition to the long line ups (typically 20-30 minutes) you have to bare before ordering, the food quality is on par with other Tim Horton locations, which is if you really like brown coloured water (their regular coffee), cardboard or rubber masquerading as muffins, frozen donuts (they par bake them) and cookies that are just too sweet and hard as if they were leftovers from yesterday. Their coffee in particular is awful. The coffee is too watered down with no discernible taste. Compared to the ice coffee at Starbucks near the UTM library, their ice coffee tastes more bland (only upside is that it is cheaper). For such a long line up and not expecting the best, it is a waste of time and not worth it. In fact, the only time you will get quick service is at around 4-5 pm on Mondays-Thursdays when the line ups...
Read moreFirst off f utm food services, everything is slow, they take all our tuition money and refuse to give students accessible and fast food services. I wait 30 minutes before class at this place, had to leave the line, came back after class waited another 30 minutes. They have like 7 workers, 3 cash registers and yet even when you get to the front of the line you have to wait 15 mins for someone to go check you out at the cash, I don't know what all those workers are doing. Food is standard tim hortons food, I just think its so disgusting for the uni to charge so much, work them to death and then make them wait 30 minutes for a mediocre coffee. The starbucks, Colman Commons, and Booster Juice all have this problem too. I don't know if its related to the food service providers aramark, who are super sketchy, I applied for a job got it they took my SIN and sensitive information then said there was no shifts available for me then said I WAS FIRED FOR NOT WORKING 30 DAYS when I was given no shifts, no responses to emails or...
