I had a disappointing experience yesterday while buying lunch at Wendy’s (#3082) on 1420 Midway Blvd. I often go there due to its proximity to my workplace, but after repeated poor service, I’m reconsidering.
Twice now, the drive-thru staff have been rude and unfriendly. The first time, Diane, who took and served my order, mishandled my free Frosty from the key tag. This time, the cashier, Rubiatun, argued with me when I politely confirmed if the Frosty was included. She claimed I should have asked at the speaker, even though I did. Wendy’s should reconsider why the cashier isn’t taking drive-thru orders to prevent confusion.
Despite having plenty of staff, the service remains disorganized. Today, they swapped my chocolate Frosticcino for a small Frosty without clarification, and another staff member rudely insisted I only ordered one drink when I clearly ordered two. Diane, who seemingly remembered me, even shook her head as if annoyed I was there.
To make things worse, my receipt was missing, likely removed to prevent me from completing a survey. When I returned, they easily found it, suggesting it had been set aside.
This lack of customer service is unacceptable. I understand lunch hours are busy, but basic courtesy and proper order handling should be standard. If this continues, you’ll...

Now this has been a consistent trend since I have been attending this Wendy’s and going to through the drive-thru. I find that most of the time the person placed at the second window is somewhat rude. I went through the drive thru this afternoon and on getting to the second window the girl working who looked to maybe be a manager or team leader as she wore a different uniform did not even say hello or anything. She was hardly looking my direction when handing the bag out the window as she was turned around and continuing her conversation with her co-worker. I had a hunch something was wrong with the hours online so I went anyway considering it was only five minutes away. When I arrived, my instincts were right. I zipped through the drive-through and grabbed my usual chicken strips and fries. I decided to run into the restaurant to let them know about the hours and the manager said they are trying to fix it.
