Second customer of the day inside, not drive thru. Clean restaurant inside, both staff I dealt with were friendly and efficient. Ordered a family meal with bone-in chicken, Cajun potatoes with gravy, Cajun French fries and the biscuits, of course. Also ordered both regular chicken sandwiches and the blackened chicken sandwich.

On the drive home, my son and I ate the blackened chicken sandwich - well, he ate it and I had one bite while stopped at a traffic light. Delicious! My bite had a nice bit of pickle, and I gotta say, those pickles are crazy good - really set off the spices in the sandwich. My son said it was the best chicken sandwich he’s had. At home, we tried the regular chicken sandwiches and they were excellent - better than Mary Brown’s, better than KFC (that we stopped going to a couple years ago). Again, great chicken breasts, fantastic pickles and the bun - WTH is that - tastes so deliciously buttery. 5/5 on the chicken sandwiches. If we go again, that’s what we’re getting.

Fried chicken was okay. Got a mix of regular and spicy and the spicy was better but not a lot of flavor in the regular. And not as crispy and flaky as I was hoping for. And, hate to sound like a pig, but the pieces were small - my favorite piece is the leg and the two we got looked like game hen’s legs. And because they were so small, the were over cooked and dry. No, wouldn’t get their bone-in chicken again. Mashed potatoes and Cajun gravy were okay, just not my thing. Cajun French fries were good when hot. Family was torn on the biscuits - half liked their crispy edges and their fluffy interior, half thought they were just okay. I’d order those again, maybe in a meal with tenders.

Overall, though, EXCELLENT chicken sandwiches. And definitely go as soon as the doors open. Second customer of the day inside was still a fifteen minute wait. By the time we left, they probably had twenty more customers who had already ordered and five standing in line at the counter. And anyone complaining about waiting in the drive thru: you do understand that the drive thru is their priority for giving you a speedy meal? Food Was Cooked Very Well, Prepared Right, And I Received All Of My Order. Unlike Most Other Fast Food Chicken Places I've Gone To. Price Is Really High No Matter How You Chop It Up. $$$$

Food:

•The Potato & Cajun Gravy Was Phenomenal. Biscuits Were Cooked Very Well But Dry, No Points Lost Though Cause That's What A Biscuit Is, Dry.

•The Chicken - The Staple Of Their Entire Business Is.... Great! The Super Salty Batter Doesn't Take Away From It's Amazing Taste And Less Then Greasy Bites. Nom Nom Nom. 11/10

•The Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich Was Another HIT. Although It's Basically A Replica Of KFC's Famous Chicken Sandwich, I Still Enjoyed It Especially Since I LOVE Spicy Food. Popeyes Ghost Pepper Is No Joke. It Won't Win Any Contests Around The World But It Will Still Make The Outside Of Your Cheek Burn! So Heat Freaks Will Enjoy. 10/10

Service:

The Service Was Errrm, Lacking. The Lady At The Intercom Was Particularly Good At Cutting Us Off When Speaking. The Lack Of Clarity In Her Voice Made Understanding The Items Being Listed Back To Us Very Difficult. Also, Closing The Window On Is After Paying And Before We Even Managed To Get The Brown Bag Of Food I to Our Vehicle Was An Added Touch Of Poor Service. I Get Workers Are In A Hurry But.. Really? Lol

Atmosphere:

The Atmosphere From A Drive Thru Perspective Is Just As Important As The Inside, At Least To Me, Anyways. The Small Parking Lot Is So Embedded Into The Drive Thru Lane That It Feels Claustrophobic. Lack Of Parking Spots Makes Wondering Why Their Drive Through Was SOOO Backed Up During Their Opening Weeks A No-Brainer.

If You Want Delicious Chicken At A Premium Price Then This Spot Is For You, Although It Was A Fast Food Feeling. It's Definitely Not The "Apple/iPhone" Of Chicken Fast Food Places But The Price Tag Seems To Think So.

Positive/Negative Aspects Of My Review Won't Stop Or make Me Start Going Here. It's Going Into My "Hey Darling, We Haven't Been Here In A While Spot" Along With The Many Other Fast Food Places Our Family Visits...

Outstanding Drive‑Through Service!

I visited this location twice recently through the drive‑through, and on both occasions, the staff went above and beyond. The employees taking my order were incredibly helpful, understanding, and attentive to every detail.

Both times, they informed me that my order might take about 20 minutes and politely asked if that was okay. I appreciated their honesty, and I told them I didn’t mind waiting as long as I got exactly what I wanted. I went for a short drive and returned to pick up my order — and each time, it was fresh, perfectly packed, and complete with everything I had ordered.

Since I had mentioned I wanted it spicy, they even added extra ketchup and spicy mayonnaise to make sure I was happy. This level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail truly stood out.

I especially want to commend the lady who was on duty — I didn’t catch her name, but she seems to be from an African country. She was absolutely amazing and gem of a person! Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for customers are rare to find. She’s the kind of employee who deserves a raise and a promotion. My whole family was impressed by her exceptional service.
