Part 3 Still loving this restaurant. If Patvwants chinese food, this is where we go to dine. They handle a LOT of takeout here but we always enjoy eating in. Staff always friendly and outgoing. We've dined here many times not and we've never encountered a bad experience.

Part 2 My lovely wife Pat and I have been to this restaurant an additional 2 times since our first visit 3 weeks ago. Pat considers this her current favourite eat in chinese food restaurant, high praise from her. I also enjoy all I've eaten here. Server has always been pleasant, food hot and delicious. Well worth the visit.

Part 1 We were on our way to Costco but both being hungry wanted to eat first. Noticed how packed this Trans Place was so decided to pull in. Nothing says a restaurant is good more than a packed house. Lovely wife, Pat, loves chinese food so I knew she'd have no objection. I let her off by the door while I parked along the side street. Arriving inside she let me know the wait wouldn't be long. I used their washroom in the meantime. Nice clean washroom is another sign of a good place, a place where they take care of their customers. Shown our table, we sat down and perused the menu. Such a wide choice but we both had no trouble deciding. Drinks were brought and orders taken. After a timely wait our food was brought to us. I devoured all but a little of my rice. Pat had more than enough leftovers for another meal. We both enjoyed our dinner at this fine place. Hospitality was top notch, as was the food. Pat said the egg rolls were a little overly moist while our seated neighbours exclaimed they were the best eggrolls ever. To each their own. Pat, being a chinese food lover, let me know for the price and overall food, she considers this her new go to place for one of her favourite food types. I enjoyed all I ate. I did give Pat my egg roll since I'm never a fan of those, no matter who makes them. Great experience here...

Me and 2 other adults order from first time at Tran's Place on Elmwood Drive New Year's eve. We had learned from previous experience tp order are Chinese food day before if we want it for New Year's eve night. Not with Tran's, we called on Dec 30/19 to place are order, telling them are concern. Gentlemen assured usewe would have are food delivered New Years eve night by 4pm. If you were in Moncton that day Dec 31/19,New Year's eve we got some heavy snow that just just started friece. We were expecting it..Anyway sure enough are food was delivered. 10 PROPS right there. We all had chicken chow mein, fried rice, chicken balls, egg role. I loved chow mein, it wasn't soggy, or floating in water substance. Egg roles were nice crisp. Chicken balls were full of chicken, had some before that were overly battered. Tran's Place is are new place. Deliver fee was a bit steep, since we're across town from it can't really say much....

The wait was 40 minutes but I let it pass since it was lunch time and busy (will never know how they got the customers in) the service leaves something to be desired. But the food is what made me want to take the extra steps to write this review. If you have any taste buds at all, save yourself and do not eat here. I opened my soggy container to find an unseasoned pile of what looked like ringworms for noodles and still obviously raw pork (i ordered the BBQ pork chow mein, there was no BBQ involved) bathing in what was the worst “broth” ive ever seen. Was nothing but iceberg lettuce in hot water with a drop of oil. I was starving but as soon as i opened that abomination my appetite was killed as violently as that weasel murdered my moms chickens. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU WANT ANY SATISFACTION. It looks like a microwaved meal from...

This is the first time I've ever been to a Canadian -Chinese restaurant that serves chow mein without the chow mein noodles. Is this an East coast thing? I'm confused... The Szechuan beef had absolutely nothing to do with Szechuan flavours at all! Firstly the beef was tough and while it's nice to have lots of veggies, but to have just a watery sauce that you could buy at any grocery store is very disappointing. Where is the Szechuan peppercorns and flavours? Nothing at all related to the real thing. How this gets good reviews is beyond me. I guess the customers have no idea what Chinese food really is. Our server was funny though but didn't seem to know much about the food.

Minimalistic but Modern Oriental Decor. Loved the Plants & Ambient Lighting - Clean. The food however was little to be desired but maybe I just have high expectations. WonTon broth was Great but the Wontons & Noodles were Gummy/Starchy/Undercooked. Chicken Balls were a good ratio of chicken to batter but had an unclean oil taste. Wasn't a fan of the Soy Sauce -was very strong and odd/bitter (pretty much ruined my already plain fried rice w/ no chicken, veggies or egg). Don't be fooled by the "Daily Special" sign out front -its an insulting $.50c Discount. Prices were still Decent- guess it's true what they say "you get what you Pay for"...
