Restaurant Savoy Deli — Restaurant in Mont-Saint-Hilaire

My wife and I recently had a wonderful lunch at Savoy Deli in Mont-St-Hilaire. This restaurant has been around for years in St-Hilaire and is known for its comprehensive menu and for us, it's a smoked meat paradise! Once in a while, we wander way off our diet and each order a smoked meat platter. There is enough smoked meat to power at least three major sandwiches each. Each platter comes with their wonderful French Fries, cold slaw and pickle - this is Montreal-like cuisine at its best! These platters are not given away, each goes for about $ 23.00 Cdn, but since you can make about two lunches afterwards, it's actually a very good deal. We went to this restaurant first time with our French real estate agent she said we should sit and discuss something there with Coffee. We were completely blank about that place. That psycho chef/ manager/ owner (not sure) came and started screaming on us and said I can’t make money with Coffee, you should go to Tim Horton’s and sit there. Nobody on staff here is on their cell phone. A well trained and fantastic team of organized and pleasant employees hold up the highest standards of service. Waitresses at rush hour walk by at a pace that is efficient and cordial. They smile and wink at you while hauling three hot plates to the next lucky guests.
