A&W Canada — Restaurant in Montreal

This is located inside/shared with a gas station. Seating is available though limited.

Location is fairly convenient.

I ordered my usual all canadian breakfast. I requested sunny side eggs and brown bread.

It took a fairly long time to arrive, probably due to low volume which is completely understandable. Unfortunately I received turnover eggs instead of my requested sunny side up. Didn't bother complaining because I hate wasting food and the only resolutions possible would likely result in food waste.

The brown bread was correct but the slices weren't matched up when butter was applied.

The bacon were the correct 3 pieces but were shriveled up.

Service from the cashier was very good and amicable. Even gave me a takeaway platter.

Upside is there was a lot of coffee choice, unlike many other locations...

I regularly get the spécial gourmand meals for my family. We always ask for brown bread when given the option. This time the store decided to charge an extra 1.50$ per meal for brown bread, which is supposed to be included in the price. When confronted about it, the employees argued and said a manager wasn’t around so they couldn’t do anything.

Eventually they agreed to give cash back but only if I accept to not have brown bread. To my surprise, they ended up also not allowing to have white bread, despite it being part of the meal I paid for.

I also waited 25 mins for the meal, and despite being in the drive through, had to walk inside to pick it up.

The worst client service ever. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Went on a Sunday morning to get a quick coffee. Waited for 10 minutes in the driveway without any indication someone was working. Reversed. Went inside. Two other clients had been waiting for a while. The two employees were mixed up in the driveway orders (there were only two cars...) and messed up. Had to redo them several times.

After another 15 minutes waiting for a single coffee, I went out and somewhere else.

Avoid at all costs. Too bad, A&W usually don't...
