Came here a few times already and thought it was time to share :) First and foremost, this is a Brasserie (pub) . It has a very casual atmosphere where you can go and relax. Lots of parking in the area so that’s a plus. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The indoor dining can get loud when busy. Outdoor is enclosed pretty well from people passing by. The seats outdoor are showing their age but are still comfortable. My wife and enjoy the quality of the food on the menu. Though the menu has been reduced, there are still many options. They have daily specials which you check ont their website. Though My wife does miss their Mussels :) During the many visits, we have tried their tacos, burgers, pasta, mussels, and calamari. All were tasty and served while still warm. The service was quick and polite. Can tell wait staff were busy but always had a smile when asking if all was ok.

Tonight's dinner at the Brasserie Des Rapides was amazing, 😊 not only was our food delicious,  but I'd like to take the time to talk about our waitress ALEX. She was so pleasant, polite, and respectful,  She never let my glass go dry, 👍she was very punctual on our appetizers and our main course.🤗 Funny to chat with and over great person.👏I will definitely be going back to this restaurant and i will asked to be seatted in the area Alex is working. 😃 I'll be telling my friends and family to do the same. Sadly to say I don't think hostesses get enough credit for the hard work/hours that they do, 😪 but I would personally like to say Thanks so much for this unforgettable girls night Alex. 😁 Ur the best... i give the restaurant 5 stars and Alex 100 🤗 See u again soon 🙂

To the owner, if you think that selling 9$ coronas to people in Lasalle will bring business you are wrong... The service was ok, but the waitress seemed displeased at my comment which I dont expect as a client... but it was the truth, it is the most expensive corona I had in my life anywhere... I remember their wings on wing night used to be good however...thats why I put an extra star... but 9$ corona = 0 stars. Ask your boss for the tip, I paid over 3 times running price and you actually went away when you started serving me. I just checked the corona is 7.80$ on their official website... what? ohhh its the tax right.. cage aux sports corona is 4$ (white background image)... so please...

They've been in business since 1990.

I've been meaning to go check out some of their weekly promo specials, only available on that specific day of the week. On Mondays it's the Burger Special where for $9.95 you get a choice of Southern Comfort, Mexicana or 3 cheese and Portobello burgers. Wanting something not too spicy, I chose the latter.

It was only available after 5 PM, so I came that evening in spite of the rain and the place was almost empty. Slow evening. Very spacious interior with a well-lit ambience and wall-to-wall TV screens showing the local sports channels.

It did take a while before I got served, but a friend I bumped into there assured me the waitresses are normally more attentive. The one who served me said I had to buy a soft drink with my burger, but I politely but firmly refused. A short time later, my meal arrived.

Served in a steel dish, I had a small serving of coleslaw, a generous portion of tender fries and a burger with 3 kinds of melted cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and portobello mushrooms on a juicy beef patty with their signature Budweiser mayonnaise. Definitely one of the more memorable burgers I've had, on par with Burger de Ville.

Like all bars, the place is open till 3 AM but the kitchen closes at midnight (1 AM on weekends). A scan of their booze list shows that prices do go up after 6 PM, so come in earlier if you want a better deal.

On a more recent occasion I came in to try one of their lunch specials, but since since lunch is no longer served after 3:00PM, I opted for one of their evening specials instead, but the waitress insisted that I needed to buy a beverage to go with the meal. Nowhere on the menu was this written that lunch or evening specials require a beverage, with two exceptions clearly stated next to those specific items.

After pointing this out she actually got mad at me and took back the menu. A talk with the manager had him siding with her saying that he didn't want to get them mad at him. Excuse me? Can't believe this bad attitude and that they were willing to lose a $15.00 sale plus tax and tip because I won't buy a $2.00 that wasn't part of the meal. It's not like the place was packed and that they could afford to blow off paying customers for no reason; the place was more than half empty. I took my business elsewhere that day.

On my next visit one of their lunch specials (the Cedar Plank Salmon) didn't quite agree with me and the management refused to address the issue. I've decided I'm sticking to the burgers.

As a regular, I felt very disappointed at this lack of accountability and to be fair, I added my own customized carry out option to their all-you-can-eat roast beef buffet (until I got busted), so I guess you can say we're even.

Jokes aside, unless you actually throw up on the spot and not some place they can't see, don't expect the management to take responsibility and do anything about it. Also, if they try to make you order a beverage with your meal, unless the printed menu explicitly states this, you can say no and insist on being served your meal your way.

One last thing, always ask for a loyalty card wherever you go and make sure to get it stamped with every visit. They never offered me one and I'm sure I requested one before and was told that they didn't have one, and only after seeing another customer get their card stamped did I insist on one on the spot and getting my past purchases stamped (those...

This place came highly recommended by a good friend of mine. The place it kept clean and it's very inviting. Everything we ate there was delicious. The band that night was playing some great tunes. The staff was all very nice.

We were there for 3 hours. I would have loved to give this place 5 of 5 stars, but our getting our waitress was a nasty task to not only locate but to get her attention. After we got our menus, it was at least 20 min before she came to get our order. Firstly, we thought it was because she may have been busy. I feel like she either forgot about us or she has more important things to do elsewhere because she was never in view of the restaurant. She never came to see if we wanted dessert more drinks or anything we flagged her down. She forgot our refill of the drinks we ordered. To get the dessert menu, we asked the bus boy if he saw her to come see us. The place is small and cozy so you can see the whole restaurant from everywhere you're standing. After we got our dessert menu and the place emptied out a lot. We had to flag her down again this time 30 min later to order dessert. She also mixed up our bills. She was very polite but never apologized for the long wait in between or when she forgot something. I'm not sure if I will go back and stay in. But I would definitely take out food. The food is so good I would give the place another try.

On a side note: for people that don't like to eat with a loud band playing, I would suggest finding the times they don't have and going there around those times. Or during the summer, eat outside. But if you love a live band, you should definitely check out their entertainment. They play some really good music from several...

So I have to change my review from one year ago. We have been going to BDR for over 13 years. And well our last 2 visits were horrible. This morning we went for breakfast before 9:30. There was max 15-20 people and and 2 waitresses. So we get there we sit, we order. Then a nice mother daughter come sit close to us. The waitress starts talking to them, ask if it is as usual. Anyway no biggy, it's nice to be recognized and treated like more than a customer. Where I have a problem, is that they were served before us, and they had time to finish and their plates taken away before we were served. So we say well maybe since my bf ordered a burger this is why it is taking so long. I dont know! So we finally get our food and its cold, like not even been under the heat lamp cold. The burger was asked for well-done and it was medium rare. The eggs were overcooked and cold. The potatoes were cold and tasteless. Paying almost 40$ for cold breakfast is unacceptable and disappointing. This is the second time this happens to us.I would be more inclined to understand if the restaurant would've been packed and short staffed but this really was not the case. By the time we paid there was 3 waitress and maybe 10 more people had came in... Don't get me wrong, I get it that we might not be regulars and all but we still go there quite often. And we have been going for over 13 years. I find it sad because we use to love going there, the food was good and everyone was well taken care of. Now it is all about who you know or how many times a...
