Bulk Barn — Restaurant in Montreal

Very happy with this bulk barn. I'd especially recommend the peanuts. They are comparable to store price, but much tastier, fresher and higher quality. I definitely had worries about hygiene or insects, but I have to say that every time I've been in this store it's been spotless and I've never seen anything that makes me even slightly nervous. The customers who visit this store are very respectful of the products!

You can definitely get a deal here, especially if you only need a small amount of something, just compare prices. I would recommend the chocolate covered british toffees they have on one of the upper shelving errors above the 'bulk bins'. Only 2.99 for a great amount, made in the UK and taste divine. Will continue to come here for peanuts, hard to find candy and seeds/spices that are overpriced elsewhere.

Be warned about the Store Manager, I believe his name is Sam, I am a regular in this store and although the store itself is great, the manager not so much. I have friends and family that come to this store, and whenever we ask this man for assistance, he just tells us the aisle and walks away before we can finish our sentence. Also I have seen on various occasions when there is a lineup at the cash and he does see this because I have made eye contact with him while in line and he chooses to do NOTHING, until the cashier asks for assistance. Very disappointing, I have asked the employees about him and they always tell me that he does not to anything at all but walk around the store. I am disappointed with the management. The staff is very knowledgeable. Sure you're thinking it's candy and pasta... BUT- I needed to get Gluten Free pasta that day and I was somewhat clueless. Nice gentlemen sees the blank look of confusion on my face and offers to help. He explained EACH GF pasta they carry, their health benefits etc. I thought I had just been there right place right time. NOPE! 2 days later I go back, this time I'm picking up spices for a friend and I've no knowledge either (I'm not much of a cook) and another lady came to help me. Not only was she able to tell me which was which (as you'd expect) but she provided me with origin, blend, best uses, homeopathic uses etc....
