Despite confirming the day before that reservations were now accepted, there seemed to be confusion upon our arrival, and we were initially told there were no available tables. Eventually, we were seated (just as we were about to leave to go elsewhere), but the service left much to be desired. We had to request basic table setup (napkins and cutlery weren't there even after our order was taken) and follow up on my coffee and our food multiple times. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive and was disappointingly bland. Additionally, we noticed customers waiting despite two to three seemingly vacant tables. It appears there's a lack of training among the staff, which may stem from the Cora operations team from within. If staffing is an issue, it would be more considerate to either reduce the number of customers or begin accepting reservations. As the founder of Cora is a senior citizen herself, one would expect an understanding of the challenges elderly individuals face, such as standing in line for nearly an hour to be seated. Furthermore, reducing the number of menu items could allow the cooking staff to focus on doing a few things well. We will not be coming back to Cora nor to any other breakfast franchises anymore as these kinds of service issues seems to be systemic and there is lack fo accountability/ownership in these franchises. We used to really enjoy coming to Cora (pre-pandemic). Does anyone have any good stories of actual franchises doing BETTER after...
Read moreFood doesnot taste good. Very average to below average when it comes to comparing to other breakfast joints around lasalle. The potatos seems like just boiled and tossed in whatever. No flavour no seasoning. Even my toddler refused to eat that. We ordered two kinds of benedict. Both were not good. The hollandaise sauce almost split. And i knw how that should taste. The fruits were not fresh. They turned chewy on the sides. My 4 year old could not take a bite of that dried out pineapple slice they served. And the place and decor is dated. Uncomfortable seating. Crowded. Tables put tooo close. The only good thing was the sweet girl who was serving us !! Alltogether, not a pleasant brunch. Wasted my 70 dollars there. Never...
Read moreI'm a huge fan of Chez Cora, but we had a pretty bad experience at this location. Showed up with 3 adults and 2 kids. We waited about 30 minutes after ordering and informed them that we would appreciate it if they could bring the kids orders first if it would be faster.
They brought 2 plates, but only 1 was for the children. We then waited another 10 minutes before the other orders showed up. 2 of the 5 orders had significant errors, one that related to an allergy that was clearly explained when ordering.
We waited another 10 minutes before the orders where corrected...
Other newer orders were passed before us and the staff did not seem to be in any kind of hurry.
I would recommend avoiding...
