I'm in Montreal for a few days and decided to get a nice bowl of pho and bun bo hue from this restaurant on a rainy day.
The service was fast and I believe it was the owner that sat us. She took our order and the food came in soon after, it was pretty quick and piping hot (almost burnt my tongue ). The pricing was also standard for a pho place.
The broth had a nice spicy beef flavour to it (but I did find myself adding a bit more hot sauce ). It was medium size but it came with a lot of meat and noodles. I was so full that I didn't get to finish the broth.
I found the pho broth a little salty but I still really enjoyed it. It also came with a lot of meat and noodles like the BBH.
I wish I had more space in my stomach to try other things (the spring rolls and the vermicelli looks good). Overall, it's a small and cosy restaurant that has great service and food (especially on a rainy/cold day). Give this place a try if you're ever...
Read moreAVOID all cost - ,I ordered the special mix of dumplings, with a soup as xtra and a raw spring roll. The taste of the dumplings were ok, but not the best at all. The soup was flavorless, so i decided to add one of their black spicy sauces into it.. At my surprise 10min later, my health is being threatened just because of this meal. I had severe abdominal pain from eating it.. caused an IBS. I would not lie, I struggled and I had to go to the hospital. I still don't know what part of the meal caused it and what exactly, but my pain is very severe right now and I regret having wasted$ 22 in my pockets.. I want a refund or I'll make sure the restaurant gets investigated for proper hygiene. I have went to dozens of chinese restaurants before and never has this happened to me. It wasn't my furst time eating dumplings. Please save yourself from this discomfort and avoid...
Read moreFor appetizers we had the crispy chicken wings and the imperial roll (chicken). The crispy wings were amazing if you dip in their home made ginger dip. If it wasn’t for the dip, the chicken would not have any flavor as it’s not seasoned. The imperial roll was fine and not different or better than any other chicken roll out there. The crispy seafood noodles were really good except that most of the seafood is frozen and shameful to find imitation crab in the dish. The general Tao chicken was also average and felt like there was more batter around the chicken than actual chicken meat. The pho was also nice but nothing out of the ordinary so overall, an average experience when it comes to the food. The manager is very nice and helpful so I wish them the...
