El asadero — Restaurant in Montreal

As a Mexican person, I am kinda disappointed at the food to be honest. I was expecting a better seasoning. We took the agua de horchata, which literally didn’t taste like anything except water and the cinnamon they added to it… we also took the agua de Jamaica which was really sugary and only had an after taste of the Jamaica flower. As for the food, we took the tacos al pastor, normally it comes with pineapple, and this one did not so as soon as you took the bite it didn’t have that extra flavor. The meat was kinda dry and it didn’t taste like the seasoning of what the al pastor should taste like! (They didn’t bring us lime until I asked for it which shouldn’t happen since Tacos always need their little lime on the side.) We also took the mini tortas de Birria. It was extremely disappointing and kinda gave me the ick. The torta had nothing inside except the meat and Mayonnaise which is outrageous because the birria doesn’t go with mayonnaise… the consome that was served with torta was tasteless, it just tasted like water with grease in it… they also gave us some french fries which were extremely soggy because of all the oil that was used. Oh and the cutlery was dirty… :( And it’s kind of expensive too, Hope this helps to make it better. But as a Mexican restaurant I wouldn’t really recommend! Half of the menus is not really Mexican...

I really enjoyed the food ! Service was fast enough the lady was kind i recommend the Pastor Tacos like in the photo because it was much more flavorful than the Beef Tacos and was more similar to Pastor Tacos i ate in Costa Rica.

Also one thing to note Pastor tacos are suppose to have pineapple and lime with it and people said in the reviews i saw that they didn't put neither of those but when i went they put both so it means they have listened to feedback...

Very nice restaurant. I went with my latinos friends and we all agreed that it was delicious. I was wondering the difference between 2 drinks. They gave me samples to taste before ordering. Very good food. The server was very incline to help although he was more confortable in Spanish. I had a good service. We were 4 on the familial dish to make your own tacos.
