Resto Hollywood Déli — Restaurant in Montreal

My wife had a craving for PFK but I was not in the mood. I saw this place right beside it so I told me wife to go get what she wanted at PFK and I was going to grab a Spaghetti Smoked Meat. It was a Saturday evening, just after dinner, around 7:00 and the place was empty, that should have been my first clue. I ordered my dinner, take out. When I got home, I was not impressed, it was a large portion in the bag along with one of those bagged bread rolls, stale of course with no Parm on the side... I dug in, the sauce was half decent but the pieces of smoked meat, rather than being shredded smoked meat as I would have thought, they were smoked meat crumbs, leftovers from cuttings that were hard and had the texture of rubber. I ended up trying to pick them out but only ended up eating about a third of it before throwing it away.

I hate giving bad reviews but I had to say something. You would think in these days restaurants would try a little harder... Not to mention the staff were not inviting at all, again you would have thought they would be happy to see a customer but I barely got an acknowledgment and certainly no hello, I felt like I was bothering them.

I will not be going back. I gave it a 2 star only because had the smoked meat crumbs actually been good, it would have been pretty good overall. Like I said, the sauce was tasty and it was a large portion for...

Breakfast was good. Some items are no longer available. Service could have been better. A little more attention should be given to clients needs.....
