What a pleasant surprise! Stopped by this resto while passing by and it blew me away with the flavours. I started with a guacamole and it was delicious: aromatic herbs, sweet onions, and lots of buttery avocados. Tried the tortilla soup as well and was rich with ingredients. Then moved on to the pulled porc and beef tacos and the flavours were so satisfying. Well marinated and spiced meats with a generous ratio of meat to taco. The complimentary sauces on the side (in picture) were so much fun to try. I ate all the pieces of lime. I met Louis, the waiter, and he was such a nice guy. Good occasion to practice my Spanish chatting with him too. Bravo to the chefs too. Enjoyed my meal. 5 stars.

I had enchiladas, torta de milanesa and tamal de pollo, the last week. They were all disappointing… I think they changed the chef coz it used to be really delicious but now the milanesa was not tasty at all. It was like a steak with a cover of fried bread peeling off. The tamal was dry I think it was old. And the enchiladas were too tinny for the price. 20$ plus taxes for enchiladas? No way!! The decoration and vibe of the resto is nice. I hope they recover good quality food, tasty food, and they do not charge like old port located restaurants ;)

One of the best mexican restaurants I've been to in Montreal, and it's a pretty long list so that's saying something. Flavour of the food is bomb. This is a smaller restaurant that has more of a cafe feel than a restaurant, but it's comfortable nontheless. One of my favourite things about this place was they had a cell player there to play for the patrons. Added a real great touch and represented well the importance of music in Mexican culture.

Last night my partner and I had El Delicioso for the second time. We had held off on ordering from them again because it is really expensive for tacos here, but we thought we would treat ourselves since it was great the first time we got them. They also gave us an abundance of amazing sauces. Made the $60 meal for two a little bit more worth it.

After last night, we will NOT be ordering from El Delicioso again. When I brought our taco order home, my partner and I were really disappointed with the amount of food they gave us. My partner had the El Pastor tacos and there was barely any meat in each taco. Also, last time they doubled up on the tortillas for him. This time they did not. I got the Camarón (shrimp) tacos and the batter was super soggy and the shrimp were tiny. However, I can forgive the size of the shrimp partially since I'm not aware of the details for their shrimp delivery. First time I had the Camarón tacos they were big, juicy and had an excellent crisp to the batter. I was hoping for $21 I would get that again. Not the case. I also requested no mayo, which they did not follow. Barely any lettuce and purple cabbage too in the tacos.

For the sauces, we each got two tiny sauce containers of salsa. Last time we got 4 sauces each, three of them being big containers of salsa which was amazing! Not sure why they changed this.

For their prices, I expect more and I was really disappointed. I've been trying to find a good taco place in Montreal since I grew up with incredible Mexican food. Makes me feel at home, but sadly I haven't found a spot that is affordable/worth the price for the amount of food they give.

Overall, I will say their staff is friendly and warm to their customers. Nothing against the people who work at El Delicioso. I assure you they will treat...

Great authentic tacos, however for the price and portion size incredibly sad.

Almost 10$ a taco including tax, which isn't very clear from their Uber Eats page. Even the pictures on Google show them giving you multiple tortillas with what looks like a mountain of meat.

I was honestly stunned when when only 1 taco came per 10$ order. Compared to most other Mexican restaurants like Tacos Frida or Escondite where you get 2-3 tacos for the same price.

Avoid this place and support other authentic Mexican restaurants that dont perform highway robbery on you. Anyone who's rating this a 5/5 must be friends or family. I refuse to believe other people dont feel robbed by the portion sizes.

Sad because they were...
