The good: awesome food The bad: horrible service zero customer service or hospitality

Here are the details...

Honestly some of the best Haitian food I have ever had. I love Griot and I have to say it was one of the best plates of griot I have ever tried. The only place that was better was a gourmet high end Haitian restaurant in Montreal at double the price.

The rice was tasty and the salad was well dressed.

The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet.

The bad: the service is horrible. We had a gathering for a birthday party and when we asked for more water for the table they said they didn't have any more. They left empty plates, cups, forks etc on the table and we had to move them ourselves to the counter. One of us had old, refried plantains and when the staff were told, they were hard as a rock and could not be eaten they told us to give to someone else in our party to eat. the server didn't seem too interested in serving anyone (maybe she was shy?) and seems to be overwhelmed and not interested in catching up. They forgot one of our dinner orders and when we went to cut the cake they seemed confused when we told them we needed plates and forks for the cake (and we did ask if we were able to bring our own cake in advance).

Really good food overall but definitely...

During my recent trip from the U.S. to Montreal, I had the pleasure of dining at ÉpicesKay Caribbean Food, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented - you can really taste the quality and care in every bite. Each dish was made with authentic Caribbean flavors, and the presentation added a special touch that made the whole meal feel extra special. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxing meal. What made the experience even more memorable was meeting the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to speak with me and shared his passion for serving people. It's clear he genuinely cares about his clients, and that hospitality really stood out. The customer service was excellent, from start to finish. Friendly, professional, and attentive everything you could hope for in a dining experience. If you're in Montreal and looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine with a modern touch, I highly recommend ÉpicesKay. I'll definitely be returning on...

Tasty griot and rice, portion of the meal was small as well as the serving of sauce. The meal came with a mix of lettuce and a couple of pieces of tomato with quite a sweet vinaigrette and one piece of fried plantain. One big down side is the inaccurate time that was giving on the phone for us to pick-up the meal, we were told 15ish minutes but it took over 30 almost 40 mins to receive our order for take out. The food itself is amazing and hands down one of the most flavorful griots...

The food was DELICIOUS. Best diri kole at a restaurant I ever had. The fish was delicious, if you don’t like jerk though you may want to order something else. The griyo was moist and paired well with the spicy pikliz. I do wish the akra was the stick like version verses the round shape that they served.
