With a very straight forward name you know what you're getting when you go here. We tried quite a few of their wonderful beers and each one was better than the last. And, of course, since we can't go anywhere without stuffing our faces... We enjoyed some satisfying, delicious food as well. I addition to all that, the simple yet very comfortable decor, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service with amazing super human memory (our waitress remembered all 10 sampler beers we ordered and who they were for) we had a very good outing overall. Also, we're not sure if there's a reason many microbreweries have those neon lights near their stills (maybe someone can answer this) but it looks cool 🤷‍♂️ 😅.

etoH review First, I would like to say, come see for yourself, it is worth it. Service is fast and courteous. Beer selection is amazing even if I only had the first two on the menu. A blonde and a red made me want to taste all the other kinds and colors of beer that night but time was up, the last call was already passed. So moral of the story is, get there early so you can taste all the beers on the menu, have enough time to get to know the staff and read all the cartoons samples used as tapestry in all the washrooms.

Update: food quality has been going down (or my expectations going up?) So I'll remove 1 star ------ original review ------ I go there a bit too often. I love the variety of beer. It change fairly often. You can also take some to go and bring back the emptied. The food is good considering they don't have a full kitchen. (But I would avoid the nachos is I were you) The place can be pretty loud at time but it's very comfortable. Small terasse. Bathroom are clean and interesting. Lots of vegan options (much appreciated!)

The EtOH is a charming place at the heart of Villeray - Parc Extention borough of Montreal. Perfectly located at the corner of St-Denis St. and Jarry St., just across the Jarry subway station, this trendy brasserie offers an after-work, as well as a late-night atmosphere. On the menu side, the clientele's been offered some very interesting Quebec-made cheese and deli boards to share, pig tongue and delicatessen start-ups, duck & fruit, smoked salmon and prosciutto salads, sandwiches and nachos. The beer selection includes 20-some local and homemade brands. There is live Jazz music on Tuesdays, along with some other events happening from time to time, such as: whisky atelier, beer brewing showcase, local artists expositions etc. During the summer season, there is an outdoor terrace that adds a typical...

Came last night for my first time on a date with my partner (We're queer, and POC) and was met with 10/10 service and respect from our servers! We tried a few of the beers: Black IPA, The GOSE, The 10 year anniversary beer and an English Ale. All of the beers were absolutely phenomenal and prices very reasonably. They had 2 sizes to choose from being a glass (12oz) and a pint (20oz). We got the nachos and it was LOADEDDDDD with cheese and goodies. Asked for hot sauce and he brought over 5 different kinds to choose from. My Fiance and I LOVED it and will definitely be back! So excited to try out their...
