To the man answering the phone on Saturday evening - you are an absolute rude and horrible person.

I called prior to placing an order to make sure if I order DoorDash they are able to see notes due to dietary restrictions. The first call he already did t know English or French, but eventually pretended to understand what I was asking. I placed my order and called back just to ensure once again that he saw the note and was ok. NOT ONCE did he say anything About pick up - nothing , he read my order out loud with the notes and said no problem.

Once I received my order I open the wrap and it’s dressed as normal. I call back AGAIN (30ish min apart) he proceeded to tell me he doesn’t remember talking to me, and claimed he has 1000 orders so why should he. I explained we spoke and to just not accept it if he couldn’t not add certain things. He was so rude laughed at my simple concerns and said too bad you can only modify wrap for pickup.

Overall I can’t eat my food now and he told me he does not care and hung up.

Worst experience ever. You would think me simply asking for only 2/5 things inside would be better for them but he did not care and I will NEVER be supporting this restaurant again.

*they also closing early as he mentioned, so don’t bother following online times as he clearly closes when...

Wanted something to eat that wasn't too sweet or too filling and would be ready quickly, for that time period between lunch and dinner. My lunch that day wasn't very filling so I was already feeling hungry at 4pm (when I picked up my daughter after school). Came upon this place. Clean, modern decor, lots of yummy packaged desserts and a colorful display of veggies/hummus/baba ganoush. Tried the faux chicken platter and it was delicious - like it's better than real chicken!! I'm not a vegetarian but I always try to get more veggies into my diet. Got some beet salad, cucumber salad, hummus, shredded cabbage and some sweet potatoes on the platter. Because of the variety of flavors (and colors) I felt satisfied without feeling bloated/full. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. I don't usually give 5 stars unless I get consistent quality/experience over at least 2 visits. Anyways, much better and fresher tasting than Boustan/Amir. Very animated and engaged owner/server. This year, I'm making it a goal to only go to mom-pop places as I find the service/quality better and more unique than franchises. Anyways, I am looking forward to visiting again and trying their faux meat platter, faux chicken nuggets and their homemade desserts (I saw them take out a fresh tray of...

I have heard about the Falafel St-Jacques for quite a while but never had the chance to try it out.

All vegetarian? not usually my thing but wow. I am going to be honest, it is pretty good. yummm

After that i went two more times. They have all kinds of vegetables sides, cucumber salads, beets, mushrooms, coleslaw, guacamole, coucous, quinoa, eggplants, tofu, choux de bruxelles, corn salad, and you name it! They all tasted good really

What I love about it, they give a pretty generous portion, too much that you can’t even finish the whole plate, I always bring the second half the next day for lunch

they have plates or sandwiches, decent prices, they will also ask if you want hot sauce on top or on the side, a must-try if you are a spice addict just like me!

Nicely decorated, great ambiance, clean, great friendly staff, good service .parking on the street but easy, not too busy

If you have thought of trying this place, i strongly suggest it. i regret not...

Went there after reading the most amazing reviews only to be dissapointed again .... The place is ok, has a variety of items and lots of salads and platters to chose from but it was not that great. The food was Meh! (personally i dont like my food in a mash up as seen in the latest pics) We had a falafel platter, tawook sandwich 👎 and a shawarma platter and weirdly the salads and accompagnements were all on top of each other mixing the flavours and rendering it hard to really separate the tastes ... And the eggplants were burned ....🤐 Also to mention , the last video posted of the sandwich making was so awesome but unfortunately far from truth. While serving our food , no gloves were used, same tongs between the toppings and the sandwich wasnt that great....) Also the place could really use some cleaning up.... A real bummer that it didnt live up to my expectations .... And to note that we ate inside, no platting or table setting was done (just saying 🤔)

Falafel St. Jacques in Montreal is a veggie lover's dream come true! Forget the age-old question "Where's the beef?", here it's all about the veggies and let me tell you, they sure know how to make them sing! Their Vegetarian General Tao Chicken will have your taste buds doing the cha-cha and their Mongolian "Beef" will have you convinced cows are overrated. But don't just take my word for it, try their vegetarian Shwarma and you'll be hooked. Just be careful, you might start growing your own wheatgrass. And the salads, they're so fresh, you'll think you're eating a salad straight out of a farmer's field. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual, making it a great spot for vegetarians and carnivores alike. So come one, come all and join the veggie revolution at Falafel St. Jacques!
