Gaufres & Glaces Beaubien — Restaurant in Montreal

The reason of two stars is because other time was a good experience as shown in the picture that I bought in 2020. It was happy all the time when I visited here.We visited here several time like few time in each summer but yesterday I orderd a waffle ice cream as usual. It was very sour taste, not sweet,it was been rotten old dough. I've never felt that bad taste this shop's waffle... this shop was near by and liked a lot.. we veisted the shop at 19:30, 　it was supposed to be opening time,but closed with a letter on the door. Once we came back an hour later, a man was smoking outside, he came in and started making...I wanted to tried normal ice cream this time, but there was non all probably was in the fridge so I asked if the shop is closed today,I'm not going to interrupt you, he said it's open. Open but no music?? Can we not see the ice cream choices?? then the waffle was sour....and how they made it was much better in the past .Very dissapointed that I lost one of my favorive chill place. I'll...

Not sure how I should start this... Well, I really wanted to like this place. The marketing team is amazing. The website is really enticing. The location was also pretty Instagramable and the staff was friendly👍.

But... The ice cream was just ok 🫤. The waffle wasn't fresh. The chocolate wasn't fresh.

And, when you sit down and really take a look at the place. You start to notice how runned down the place is. The walls are dirty and I'm not even mentioning the light switch. It was not even white anymore. Stay away from the bathroom😱. I don't know, but had I seen this before I had the ice cream and I would've turn the other way around. The prep kitchen is right beside the bathroom and it was scary how unorganized it was and how everything looked dirty. I don't know what to say. It wasn't busy.

Je ne sais pas par où commencer... Eh bien, je voulais vraiment aimer cet endroit. L'équipe marketing est incroyable. Le site est vraiment alléchant. L'emplacement était également assez Instagramable et le personnel était sympathique👍.

Mais... La glace était correcte. La gaufre n'était pas fraîche. Le chocolat était rassis.

Et, quand vous vous asseyez et regardez vraiment l'endroit. Vous commencez à remarquer à quel point l'endroit est magané. Les murs sont sales et je ne parle même pas de l'interrupteur. Il n'était même plus blanc. Éloignez-vous de la salle de bain. Je ne sais pas, mais si j'avais vu ça avant d'avoir mangé la glace, j'aurais fait demi-tour. La cuisine de préparation est juste à côté de la salle de bain et c'était effrayant de voir à quel point c'était désorganisé et à quel point tout avait l'air sale. Je ne sais pas quoi dire. Ce n'était même pas occupé.

No sé por dónde empezar... Bueno, tenía muchas ganas de que me gustara este lugar. El equipo de marketing es increíble. El sitio es realmente atractivo. La ubicación también era bastante Instagramable, el personal era amable y atento 👍.

Pero... El helado estaba bien nada especial. El gofre no estaba fresco. El chocolate estaba no fresco 🫥

Y, cuando te sientas y realmente miras el lugar. Empiezas a notar lo desordenado que está el lugar. Las paredes están sucias y ni siquiera estoy hablando del interruptor de la luz. Ya ni siquiera era blanco. Aléjate del baño 😱(parece baño de carretera). No sé, pero si hubiera visto eso antes de comer el helado, me habría dado la vuelta. La cocina de preparación está justo al lado del baño, daba miedo lo desorganizada que estaba y lo sucio que se veía todo. No sé que decir 😶. Ni siquiera...

Beyond average and small waffle (mushy with zero crunch) First waffle was raw, got a second one, slightly better. 1$ extra to drizzle some caramel sauce. Was told you can’t customize your waffle, you have to choose from the menu. Very odd to not be able to customize in 2021–especially for a waffle joint with many toppings available. Finally, 21$ for 2 mediocre small desserts.
