Restaurant Bébé Goût — Restaurant in Montreal

I went there for the first time last night. As soon as we arrived we were sat down. The table were extremely sticky. We waited for about 20mins and decided to checkout the reviews on Google, while reading the reviews, we discovered that we had to walk up to the counter to place our order. After ordering our food, The food arrived after 2 hours. Within 2 hours, the owners were very rude and were arguing amongst themselves. They were mixing up my order with others, and I was ready to leave without the food because the wait was too long. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and delivery wasn’t long. When the food was ready, i decided to take the food home. The food was not well cooked. It was still reddish in the middle and hard to eat.

Overall, the service was bad, the inappropriate behaviour of the owners were terrible (they were drinking alcoholic beverages while working), the atmosphere was unfriendly and extremely hot, the food was terrible. I will never come back.

I had a very bad experience yesterday with friends. I called in to book for a group of friends and when we got there nothing was prepared for us. We had to arrange our own tables.

Then we waited for almost an hour for a servant to come serve us. He served drinks and then disappeared. No one explained to us anything until we decided to serve ourselves seeing others serving themselves. To our discovery, it was a buffet day.

The lady then came and said very nasty and rude things to us that others ate food and never paid and that she has cameras all over in case we don’t pay she will report us to the police.

Come to the payment, no one was ready to explain how it works. We went to pay, but the lady kept saying other unrelated things to us.

Disappointed and won’t return. I had high hopes for Bebe Gout based on the hype, but this was a complete letdown. The service was painfully slow and disorganized. It took over 30 minutes just to get water, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than checking on customers. As for the food? Overpriced and underwhelming. What I got didn’t match the menu description or the photos. Bland, lukewarm, and sloppy presentation. Honestly, I’ve had better meals at a food court. Cleanliness wasn’t impressive either — the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day. Bebe Gout might be trying to look fancy, but behind the decor is poor management and mediocre food.
