Georges Pizza — Restaurant in Montreal

This place is your classic Montreal pizza, Italian and a little Greek style diner. Ris and her husband Michael have been the owner and operators here for over 50 successful years and their success is clear - serve honest quality made food with fresh ingredients with great portions and reasonably priced. Alan made my pizza and I have to say, this was an awesome pepperoni and cheese pizza packed with lots of pepperoni to a meat overs delight. Crust is light and airy while also being perfectly cooked and yummy. Their subs are old school and loaded with toppings with excellent seasoning and juicy ingredients. Atmosphere is old school and this is a fun setting - not a five star but a solid four given what the expectations should be for a restaurant of this nature. Service is warm, friendly and welcoming. They are very proud of the food they serve and are happy to answer any of your questions. This place is a total repeat and I would even say I would go out of my way to eat their food again. I am a convert and this will become a new usual place...

UPDATED: it has been a YEAR that I have called in and had terrible customer service on the phone.

Individuals who get angry at me for being specific; one a woman, now a man. The manager acknowledged that this was an issue and still had nothing to offer or to say as consolation.

He said he considered the fact that I'd comment about their service a threat, told me to never call again and hung up.

Years ago I said: "It's not always easy to get your order in. Bad pizza decent souvlaki, good customer service". NOW, however, I'd say the pizza is EXCELLENT and their poutine and souvlaki is MY FAVOURITE and their calzones are delish. Staff is still very kind and professional (though not delivery person is)....

Great family run restaurant. Old school is a dying breed these days. The pizza is the best that I could find. I have tried several. Service is great. You are treated as a family member. Owner is always pleasant. Good assortment of food. Every time we were there, it was busy. That is a good sign! No fancy BS, just great food and service like it should be. Very rare these days of a lower cost restaurant. Prices are as low as they can go without putting the owner in jeopardy. Support your this local restaurant instead of filling the owners pockets of chain restaurants. Trust me, you want this place to continue on. Hopefully for generation after generation. Which is a tough feat to do these days. They seem to be doing this, that tells...
