L'Artisan de Pasta nestled in the quaint neighborhood of Lasalle, is a hidden culinary treasure. This unassuming, small, bring-your-own-wine restaurant is a delightful haven for those seeking authentic and fresh Italian pasta dishes. From the moment you step in, the staff welcomes you with Open arms Their home-made bread its crispy crust and fluffy interior was succulent. I started with the Beets Ravioli as an appetizer, while my wife opted for the calamari. Both dishes left us thoroughly impressed, but the Beets Ravioli, in particular, was a revelation – fresh, delightful, and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we savored pasta dishes with Ragu and Filet Mignon Ravioli. Both were bursting with rich, mouthwatering flavors, but my personal favorite was the Filet Mignon stuff Ravioli with fresh Portobello. The stuffed ravioli with succulent sauce, was an absolute masterpiece. The flavors and the sauce that accompanied it were simply outstanding. To complete our culinary journey, we indulged in the tiramisu for dessert, and it was a delightful ending to an already fantastic meal. The fact that this hidden gem also sells fresh pasta to take home was an added bonus. What truly sets L'Artisan de Pasta Perfect Gem apart is its exceptional service. The staff treated us like family, making our dining experience even more memorable. It's no wonder this hidden gem has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. If you're in the Lasalle area and have a craving for exquisite, fresh Italian pasta dishes, this charming little...

Pros: I really enjoyed the kind waitstaff. You could tell that this is an authentic family run Italian restaurant. Waitstaff were very kind. The restaurant is small but very clean and nice. Overall atmosphere is great.

The homemade confit was fantastic. Fruity and delicious. Fantastic on the bread. Bread was also very nice, it felt fresh (the butter could have been room temperature). The pasta noodles were nice, had a very pleasant mouth feel, and looked beautiful.

Really enjoyed the fact that they have a limited menu.

Cons: I really, I really wanted to love this restaurant and give it a better rating. The staff was so kind, and everything felt fresh. I am unsure if this is simply my peasent taste buds, but the tomato sauce felt super lack luster. While the noodles were wonderful, the sauce was very bland. It felt like it was missing something. It felt like it was made entirely of tomatoes with nothing else (and perhaps this is actually what it was supposed to taste like and I am just so used to American style sauce that a real Italian sauce was confusing to me). I felt like adding black pepper, basil, salt, and red pepper flakes would dramatically improve the taste (for me). For 30-35$ pasta plates per person, I was expecting something more flavourful.

I feel like this must have been a fluke as the reviews are so high. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off day. I hope to come back again in the future and revise this review. I really believe that L'Artisan de La Pasta...

If you’re in Montreal, whether you live here or you’re just visiting, L’Artisan de la Pasta is an absolute must! This is, without a doubt, the most authentic and incredible Italian restaurant in the city.

From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed like family. The host Alessandro makes you feel right at home, and the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is made from scratch with true passion and artistry. The homemade pastas are on another level, perfectly fresh, cooked to perfection, and paired with sauces that are bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the mains, the bread, and the desserts, everything is crafted with care and attention to detail. You can truly taste the love that the Italian Chef Paolo puts into his work.

Dining here feels like being transported straight to Italy. It’s the kind of place where every bite leaves you wanting more, and where you can tell that Chef Paolo is a master of his craft.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, having a cozy dinner, or just looking for the best Italian food in Montreal, this is the place to go. L’Artisan de la Pasta isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience.

Bravo to the incredible team, thank you for creating such a gem...

Upon entering the restaurant Alexandro greeted us by name and made us feel at home. The decor is clean and warm. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. Sevice was on point did not feel rushed did not have to request anything. Alexandro explained the menu in detail and checked in on us periodically throughout the evening. The food was spectacular Deconstructed Cesar salad and eggplant involtini stuffed with fior di latte mozzarella and porchetta served with bechamel sauce as entrees. Tagliatelle with mixed wild mushrooms and fresh artichokes and Ravioli stuffed with lobster served with cherry tomatoes and zucchini as main meal. Homemade pasta, bread and breadsticks Cheescake with fresh fruit as dessert. The gem: it is a bring your own wine, so you can pair your own meal. Will definitely be going back

We finally got the chance to try this place, and it did not dissapoint! Food: Everything was absolutely delicious. High quality ingredients, every dish perfectly balanced just sooo yummy. We had the cheesecake for dessert and it was incredible. We were told that the menu changes weekly which is very impressive and makes it very enticing to return often! Also, really good portion sizes. Service:We were also impressed by our personable and kind host, and the cozy welcoming atmosphere. Alessandro was great to chat with, very welcoming personality. Hospitality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highest quality ingredients and A+ service, as well as a fair price, this place will surely become a regular in the date night rotation. Their 5 star google rating is well earned. One note: dont forget your wine!
