I was visiting Montreal, and my friend Carmen recommended that we have dinner at her favourite restaurant. I LOVED this restaurant. I'm a foodie and have dined at many Italian restaurants, and this was wonderful. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. I especially loved the buffalo mozzarella appetizer. It had so many different layers of flavour, peaches, walnuts, honey, truffle oil, balsamic, arugula...salty, sweet, crunchy, tender.... The aged steak was excellent. They served it with a side of spices and salts....including truffle salt...the warm bread was served with 2 kinds of flavoured butter. They went the extra mile to make it a wonderful experience not just gourmet wise, but also in service. At one point owner Dino came and sat with us at our table to chat about the food and the history of this family run restaurant. The waiters where so attentive, and kept asking us if we need something, By the time we left we felt we had a connection with everyone in there. I left very happy....and to me thats what eating out should be about...spending quality time with loved ones, eating wonderful food in an a welcoming and friendly environment, and leaving HAPPY.

Incredible service, but the Menu offerings fell short. Per a colleagues recommendatiom, I accompanied some friends to celebrate a birthday at La Campagnola. Upon entry, I loved the atmosphere created by the mini-secluded dining areas which made the night feel more intimate and memorable. The food however, fell short of my expectations, I enjoyed the bread and butter offered as an appetizer, it was fresh and the in-house butter they had was an interesting deviation from the norm. I ordered the parmesan fries as a starter and they lacked a feeling of freshness/crispyness to them. I chose the Pepperoni Pizza as a main and it was above average but didnt really impress me much, it tasted close to what I have had at fast food restaurants, so I was a little dissapointed by this. Despite my gastronomic experience, the service provided by the staff was incredible; they were polite, patient and they made the night an enjoyable experience. I'm not sure if I would go there again, but if I did, it would be for the intimate dining experience(perfect for date nights) and to try a different menu item!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Campagnola, and I can sum up my experience in one word: "Wow!" 🌟 As soon as I sat down, they served me some piping hot bread with a spicy sauce that danced on my taste buds. It was like a flavor fiesta in my mouth! 🌶️ Next up, the salad – fresh, crisp, and oh-so-refreshing! 🥗 It was like a little garden on my plate, and I happily munched away. But the pièce de résistance was the lamb chop. Let me tell you, it was a love story on a plate. 💕 Tender, succulent, and perfectly cooked, it was like a symphony of flavors. I'm pretty sure I even heard angels singing when I took that first bite. And did I leave anything on the plate? Not a chance! That lamb chop didn't stand a chance; I devoured it with gusto. La Campagnola, you've won my heart and my taste buds. I'll definitely be back for more flavor adventures. Thank you for a memorable meal! 🍽️😄 #FoodieParadise #LaCampagnolaMagic

We recently organised ou parents 50th wedding anniversary here. WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Right from the beginning, communication and coordination is definately there thing! Is was so easy to plan the meals and coordinate the decorations.(what time we could get in to decorate etc...) The appetizers were plentiful, very well presented and OMG good! This was followed by simple but scrumptious single salads. (With the price of lettuce these days, the salad alone was worth a small fortune!) The entire meal was served "family style" with each round being presented by the serving crew and placed in the middle of the tables requiring everyone to interact!

"Pass me the parm!" "Give me another bread.", "I have more veggies down here" and "Who ate the last rice ball-thingy?" We're some phrases that were floating around our 3 tables.

It isn't just the menu that is "family style", it is the entire restaurant. From Maria who was our initial starting point to Grace who headed the charge with the serving and coordinating, to our bus boy who went above and beyond all night, to all the cooks in the kitchen and everyone else that are a part of your La Campagnola family....

Our sincerest thanks!!!

Andre Boulanger

Average at best... I made a reservation through Open Table, but it was empty when we arrived so the reservation wasn't necessary and the host looked at me confused as to why I'd bother with a reservation in the 1st place... Also on my reservation was information that it was my birthday which they payed no attention to so I watched in silence while the woman at a table near me was sung to and had a dessert with a candle brought to her. My husband got the pork chop and I the veal in a lemon sauce- both cooked to perfection. Service was very slow as it took and hour for our food to arrive or maybe that's a Montreal thing because other restaurants here have been consistent in that manner. Overall, I'd say, La Campagnola was okay. I've definitely had better, but it's somewhere for the older crowd to pull out an antique bottle of wine from their home collection and enjoy with their friends (it's bring your own bottle). I wouldn't go back, but I'm glad my husband enjoyed his pork chop since he rarely has the chance for one at home.... They also deleted my Open Table reservation during our meal, so I'd be unable to review them which is dishonest and probably why they have...
