Great place to relax and have some good time with friends and family. They've got good vegan and vegetarian options in food as well. While we didn't order the vegan ones but saw they have oat milk and a vegan Sandwich option. We went for Hot Chocolate, Cortado, and an Iced Latte. I liked the Hot Chocolate and Cortado. Not so much of a fan of Iced Latte. In terms of food, we ordered a Grilled Vegetables Sandwich and, don't remember the exact name, but it resembled Cinnabon. The sandwich was fine - the bun was great but I was not a fan of eggplant in a sandwich. Cinnabon was great - not overly sweet - definitely to be tried. Staff was great and friendly. The inside seating options were only the tables for two - perhaps can be rearranged. But the outside seating arrangement is good for large groups. There's street parking nearby which is generally free. We parked on the opposite side of the road and a little away. Would...
Read moreTheir lattes are one of the priciest I've see. 4.80 for an average sized one which is small, anyway. It's not tasty. That's just ridiculous.
Their roasts are supposedly fresh but they sell them to you unsealed without a roasting date meaning they can be old without anyone knowing.
Their pasteries, salads, soups and sandwiches are done with minimal effort and not worth ordering again.
The seating is nice, service is average and plenty of parking in a nice area.
Edit: Thanks to the owner for checking the customer feedback and his/her opinion.
To keep it brief, customers can confirm for themselves the average prices and quality of roasts by checking other roasters. Unfortunately, there is no competition in the local area.
The closest example would be Cafe Saint-Henri who are transparent about the age of the roast with reusable proper packaging. There are also several quality online ...
Read moreI used to come here often to work, but this will be my last visit. Laptops are banned from most tables except the large shared one in the middle, which is fine, but there’s only ONE outlet in the entire café. I sat down, plugged in my laptop (at 10% battery), ordered my coffee, and got my order. Within minutes, an employee told me I had to unplug because “someone might trip.” I asked for just 2 minutes to get some charge, but he went to back, watched me and came back less than 2 minutes later, and then unplugged my laptop himself. He said "there is no plugs on purpose". If I had known laptops aren’t welcome here anymore, I wouldn’t have even ordered my coffee. This place used to be a great spot to work, but clearly not anymore. If you’re looking for a café to study or work from, Brûloir is not the place. I finished my coffee quickly and left, won’t...
