Fairly average experience. We went for Mtl a la table, the service was mixed. Our server was extremely slow, we actually thought they forgot about us, but there was another person who was very accommodating of our stroller and checked in on us. Food portions were fairly small but that may be cause of the Mtl a la table event. First course was extremely disappointing, very well presented but taste wise was just not there. We ordered a cocktail and again were disappointed. Second course was probably the best, cod and duck tartare. I was hoping there was more on the plate quantity wise. Third course, the wagyu although good was not a serving portion. It was 4 very thin slices. Quail dish was good. The dessert was innovative, one seemed to be beetroot based while the other pumpkin. Both were on the less sweet side which I enjoy, but again I wasn’t wowed. The decor was splendid and we did enjoy the ambience, however food and service can be improved. The restaurant has alot...
Read moreI honestly don't know how people gave it such great ratings! I went yesterday for Mtl à table and I've never been disapointed like that in all the years i've done that event! There was a wine tasting in the small restaurant so it was very loud we could barely hear ourselves. It was so cold we were by the wall and there was a cold breeze coming from electric outlet and I had to wear my coat. We had to ask to get more heat. The service was very slow even just at the beginning getting water. The drinks didnt taste anything and the food wasnt good. You couldnt mix the mtl à table menus so we couldnt get exactly what we wanted and the only thing that was kinda good was the quail. For a 4 services, the portions were small and everything was just so...
Read moreYou know when you go to a restaurant and they only have a handful of items on the menu it gonna be gooooooood. I don't know what kind of trash focaccia I've been eating all of my life because theirs was hands down the best I've ever tasted! What a great combination of flavours! And that tartare...pfffft. The portion sizes were perfect, and everything complimented each other perfectly. We had made a wine choice and our server suggested another one would taste better with our plates, a great pairing! Definitely going back to try the 3 course menu (a steal at 65$ for sure!) The place itself is beautiful, we ate on the terrace but looking forward to eating inside in the colder...
