Le Petit Wellington — Restaurant in Montreal

Pictures don’t do this quaint little diner justice. Looking at the picture we took, it doesn’t make me salivate for this meal, but trust me when I say you will remember your burger, not the presentation.

Short and simple menu is all you need. Let’s face it, you’re here for a juicy burger or a nice warm poutine, not to spend an hour looking at a menu.

Owner will greet you, get you seated either at the diner counter or the tables, and bring you a nice warm homemade soup that you didn’t even know you needed. Don’t worry, you’re not paying for it, and you’ll soon find out you DID need it, as it warms your soul.

We tried the regular smash burger, the wellington smash burger (which is a double with bacon and pickles) and the montreal-steak poutine. The beef in all 3 was tender and juicy, everything was perfect to satisfy our weekend beef-burger craving!

Portions are decent, you’ll probably need only 1 meal per person, but treat yourself to an extra for takeout and thank me later…

Partner and I decided we had to try this place and we weren’t disappointed! I went in to pick up some food and take it home, was greeted by a younger gentleman that happily took my order and asked if I’d like the soup of the day. I declined, however another older gentleman came past and served me the soup anyways!

I am not a soup person, however this creamy carrot soup was the best I’ve ever had. It was served with crackers and was very yummy.

We received our smash burgers, fries, and poutine. The fries were absolutely delicious and with some ketchup I couldn’t stop myself from eating them all in one go. The burger does have some additional unique spices that I’d never tasted in a burger. Seemed like an Indian twist on the typical smash burger that made it stand out from others. Poutine was the best we’ve had in ages, seriously good!

Overall would recommend. Great service, food and the place had quite a few people enjoying a movie with their food at the back of the restaurant. Genuine...

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but my recent visit to Le Petit Wellington was exceptional! The staff was friendly and efficient, getting me in and out with my order in record time.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal! I ordered their Smash Burger and it exceeded my expectations. The patty was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The fries were crispy and flavorful.

What truly impressed me was the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. It's clear they prioritize customer experience.
