Best sushi is associated with Japanese, as Poutine with Quebecois. Japanese alone was not what I was after, but a combination of a sparking clean restaurant with great customer service and of course freshly prepared ingredients.
At the time, I ordered it was a one man show, sitting in the dining room area, being the waiter and the chef at the same time, and one family dining at a table.
Although not a Japanese restaurant, I decided to venture. From the menu, I opted for the Chef's Choice and picked their mixed (Assiettes Assorties) and a California handroll for takeout dinner appetizer.
Sushi was nothing but bland. One slice of raw salmon and a dry shrimp in my entire order. Wasabi was dry and probably not from the same day. Pricey for what I got.
