MR CAJUN — Restaurant in Montreal

When we arrived, we were simply told to look at the menu, with no question of whether we were dining in or taking out. Once we placed our order, we were required to pay upfront. None of the staff spoke English. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting, we were given our meal to go, despite being clearly seated in the dining area. The potatoes and corn were bland and tasteless. The food was cold, and there was no dipping sauce. When we requested sauce, we were given one that was 3/4 oil and only 1/4 actual sauce. The music playing was a sad, repetitive playlist — no Christmas songs or cheerful tunes.

To be blunt, for the price, I recommend you go elsewhere. This branch urgently needs to be reviewed by Mr. Cajun. Considering what we paid, it felt like we were robbed, especially with the poor service on top of everything.

This place was incredible. I had never tried a seafood boil before, and this was my very first time—what an introduction! The food was absolutely delicious and came in a huge portion. Even after tipping around 18%, my bill only came out to about $25, which felt like an amazing deal for the quality and amount of food.

But what really stood out was the service. It was truly unmatched. Everyone working there was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. While we had a wonderful server, the entire staff pitched in—no one passed the buck or said they’d tell our server. If we asked for something like extra cutlery, ketchup, or salt, whoever we asked got it right away, no questions asked.

This level of teamwork and hospitality made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back—and...

The food was delicious. Hands down! The experience was amazing. I always wanted to try something like this. First time i had crawfish. Which was an experience in itself for me.

My 2 gfs and I had a new waitress who wasn’t really attentive. I tried to give her tips and tricks because I worked in the restoration for business for 15 years. I let her know it’s okay to be an newbie and I was understanding of her constant errors.
