New Verdun Restaurant — Restaurant in Montreal

Just came back from this restaurant, and has to be the worst place I’ve even been. Asked for some soup and hamburger steak, and was served cold soup, like Barely warm, and hamburger steak consisted of two frozen burgers grilled up and served as hamburger steak. The excuses and service, worst I’ve ever had. Tasted like frozen burgers do, dog food. I’ll never go back and retell the scenario to everyone. They still expected to be paid. Even the manager tried to say everyone loves it. Pure dog food. Did I mention how disgusting it tasted? I see a lot of positive reviews, I just know what I eat was garbage. Honest posts like this will help set this restaurant’s rating more accurately, downwards.

There are allot of you public reading this, Let them know you saw this review as they still charged me 40.00 for that garbage. McDonald’s burgers are better. What a terrible service environment where they know and serve it up as if it’s quality food.

After serving it up and hearing our complaints, then they mentioned “oh, it’s the only thing not home made”. Service would have been telling us in advance, when we specifically asked about and hamburger steak. Garage, pure garbage, with terrible...

Doesn't deserve even 1 star. I ordered Chinese food last night for 2 people. The meal was 17$ for 1 person, 29$ for 2 people. 5$ less for a order for 2, you think you will get about twice the amount of food right? WRONG!! A 1 Person combo is given in 12 ounce containers, where a 2 person meal is done in 16 ounce containers. You only get 1/3 more for each type of food where you paying 2/3 more the price. You're better off placing 2 separate order's for a single person you get double the food for only a 5$ difference. I called to make sure I got all of my meal and they confirm and explained this was common practice and they actually give more than other restaurants. Sorry I don't care about other restaurants I ordered from this restaurant, they then tried to explain that they give free wonton soup other dont and againI didnt order from another restaurant. The manager then expressed that he was a manager and he cant do anything. I am sorry but not I work in the service industry and this was this was the furthest thing from service one could get no apologies no what can i do for you nothing. To boot the food was less than stellar and was as bland and basic...

Absolute GARBAGE! I made an order for delivery, 50min pass and it never came, called back to ask what was going on - The extremely rude woman who answers the phone put me on hold, then hung up on me. I guess they forgot. I wanted to tell her to cancel it.

I get the Pizza over AN HOUR after I ordered it, I asked the driver what the deal was (since I literally live 6 blocks away on the same street), but he honestly wasn't to blame and I didn't want him to have to pay anything, so I paid for it. Big mistake. Their pizza tastes like crap; hard dry crust, stale cheese, old bacon - if you were drunk and starving it would be mediocre at best .I have no idea how you mess up pizza but New Verdun seems to be great at it. I should have just paid the driver for the pizza, and then a little extra to take it back and let the cook it eat, maybe he'd realize how bad it is.

I've lived in Verdun over 7 years and there are many restaurants that are amazing, so do yourself a favor and avoid this one. As far as pizza is concerned, Connies definitely destroys this sorry excuse for a business. Last time I'll ever even think...
