Pizzeria Geppetto Beaubien — Restaurant in Montreal

This review is based soley on service which is 50% of the hospitality industry.

As a group we where incredibly underserved. Every table around our table for 4 lovely ladies was spot checked, re-checked and even casually conversed with by the floor manager who ended up "serving" us as well. By serving we mean throwing our food down, talking very loudly and abrubplty and running away before we could have a chance to ask for anything else. Not exactly a friendly welcome to a new spot we where trying. Unfortunatley, we continued to be brushed over throughout the night, told to wait when we needed things like drinks or our bill and made to feel overall as though we where not valued as paying clients.

We had to beg for our bill in the end, waving our hands at the Floor Manager several times before he awknowledged us. While he continued to spot check every other table but ours. We wanted to get out of the restaurant at a reasonable hour, Then the Floor Manager never came back to our table to allow us to pay after giving us our checks. We had to flag another server down who was having a 15 minute conversation at the table across from us about her boyfriend with the customers. Not about the food, service. This put us behind in our night and we missed getting a table at our favorite bar due to having to wait a total of 30 minutes to get our check and then process our payments before leaving.

Totally unnacceptable standard of service and treatment to clients.

It's sad when people in their place of work take out their frustrations on clients who simply come to dine, enjoy the atmosphere and spend some money. We...

Yesterday November 23,2023 I ordered 4 Pizza's for pick up at 5:19 pm was told they would be ready in 15 minutes, at 5:34pm I entered the restaurant and my 4 pizzas were ready. Unfortunately their credit/debit system was down and the gentleman that served me took my number and gave the pizzas to me on trust he could call me over the phone later for billing. Two 1/2 hours later after not hearing from them I proceeded back to the restaurant with cash in hand as back up, they had lost my number but very pleased to see me, two of the employees greeted me with many thank you for returning to pay, how could I not as they were so generous with trust and only wanted me to enjoy the pizza's while warm!!! This says much about their willingness to provide above and beyond customer service.

The 4 pizza's were all phenomenal in taste both dough and toppings were fabulous in taste and texture, saltiness of the dough was just perfect!

I don't live in the area but my son does and he will not hesitate to order from there in the future, I on the other hand would also love to return and enjoy the charming bistro like atmosphere and vibe they have accomplished here.

I give full marks for this establishment, it was my first experience here and won't be my last, I certainly look forward to it. BTW when I returned the second time yesterday evening around 830 there was approximately 35 patrons enjoying dinner, they ALL appeared to be greatly enjoying themselves.

My husband and I live just round the corner from Gepetto and being pizza lovers we would often come here to have a pizza. The staff are always very friendly and the pizza was not the best in montreal buy definitely good. Unfortunately the last 2 times we have eaten here the pizzas werr very disappointing, the dough was too salty and full of flour and the ingredients did not taste fresh. Last night we tried it again to give it another chance, we got two margaritas to pick up and when we got home there were pieces of basil leaves chopped and sitting on the corner of the pizza box most of the pieces we chunks of stalk and unedible, not to mention the dough and cheese used.
