Planète Pain — Restaurant in Montreal

Hello, Unfortunately, I had a very deceiving experience today at this bakery ☹ I called yesterday to reserve 40 croissants for today at 8:30 am, the person on the phone said that the order would be ready. I got there at 8:25 am and the employees told me that they had just 23 croissants and that the rest could be ready at 9 am! I was so disappointed, I wanted to offer the croissants to a group of employees as a thank you for their hard work, today was their last day of work, but I couldn’t wait until 9, I have a job and I need to be there on time. I trusted this bakery; I have done the same with other bakeries in the past and never had a problem. This bakery is very unreliable, they didn’t offer me an acceptable solution. The result: I couldn’t offer the croissants and my day started with a big disappointment.

Great place to get excellent espresso in my area and freshly baked bread. Way better than the commercial garbage from Metro store which is next door. Can't speak to the quality of their patisseries or sandwiches as I don't buy them, but when I buy my coffee I do see that they put out fresh sandwiches every day. I kind of agree with the review below stating that the owner tends to hire 'pretty faces' but hey after all like they say, 'sex sells'. Not all of them speak English, but they make it up with a great smile (what's great way to start a day:-) and eventually you'll get what you want! First time i got there the interac machine wasn't charged so I had to wait for that, but fair enough. The second time i got there was a Monday, the Bakery is closed on Mondays but fair enough my bad for not checking. Today we are Thursday and it is closed for no apparent reason, that's why I can't go back there... Unreliable sadly.
