This here used to have more things geared at children. 2 or 3 play park, and a small zoo called Le Parc des Merveilles.
After years of having closed the restos near the lake, they re-opened that building. I think Lori was one of the artists that had an exhibit (of her art) there. From what I know, she does mainly portraits of herself... Met her years before that. Anyway.
I used to say that I was knowing every single little strand of grass in that park...
The squirrels always warn me when something goes to wrong. I saw my namesake here in this park when I was 7 year-of-age.
Last time, they were telling me to stick around, to bring my tent, and... But a friend had left with it in an exchange that we had made...
Some pieces of shit people went on to cut down perfectly sane trees in this park, a few years past, in some kind of retaliation/intimidation blackmail/deaththreats.
There was a lot of 'chenille' on that last spring I spent in there... They were even hidding in my bags... This, believe it or not, is dangerous... ;-(
Anyway. I do not know how Montreal is these days. I say to people to NOT go there. I also say to those who know what to do counter lousie shit so-called bitches and to stop them from doing murder to come around here and to do there jobs.
But I continue to hear them violating me, and other souls, and the Filth continues...
And some people might be infested. I can feel that some are. Anti-biotics, not vaccines, might suffice. Vaccines against people, good people, are barbarian weapons and acts of war towards everyone.
And since the Filth want to force you to get either AND to ask for a 'Docteur' - MD, well, they might even go to your house and infest it. Regardless of you live through, these days, make sure you do not forsake the best part(s) of...
Read moreI’ve been to this park both summer and winter and here is what I think: In the summer, it’s the perfect spot for a walk or a picnic while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. The open spaces and peaceful atmosphere make it a great place to relax and unwind. In the winter, the lake transforms into a stunning ice-skating rink that stretches along the landscape. While I had a great time skating, I did notice that the rink’s condition wasn’t the best. There were branches and small holes in some areas, which made it a bit challenging to skate smoothly. I’m not sure if this was just an issue on the day I visited or if it’s a common thing, but it’s something to keep in mind. Despite that, I definitely plan to return! There’s also an additional rink near the lake that looked very cool and seemed to offer a smoother surface. One thing I really appreciated is the building nearby that has a restaurant, equipment rental, and free lockers to store your belongings. Just make sure to bring your own lock if you want to use the lockers. Overall, it’s a fantastic park in every season, and I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreI’ve lived next to this park for 3 years and it’s definitely one of my favourite in Montreal.
SUMMER: There are a lot of benches and cozy grass spots to sit on. The lake is very peaceful and they’ve made efforts to ensure it is cleaner. During the summer, people come here to jog, picnic and hang out.
WINTER: During the winter, the lake turns into an ice rink which really brings a festive touch. The paths are usually well cleared out and the park is particularly peaceful on a sunny day.
ACTIVITIES: There’s also an outdoor theatre, an indoor theatre, ball courts, tennis courts, baseball courts and other activities in the park. There’s also a little cafe in the center of the park. Lots of restaurants (of which the famous La Banquise) next to the park.
ACCESS: Lots of bixi bikes along the park and the 24 bus line and the 14 bus line pass by the West side of the park. The closest metro is Sherbrooke.
Only downside in my opinion is that sometimes people leave trash around the park so it makes it look a...
