Best pizza in Montreal in my opinion.

Edit:

I would like to add a few thoughts to the review with the intent of allowing to owners to improve their business and succeed.

I still stand my ground on the quality of the food, which I find really above the average of other pizza places around.

That being said, as a restaurant, when I’m paying over $40-$50 dollars per person to have dinners there are a few expectations that must be met in order to be a positive experience.

Starting with the ambience, while the decoration is nice, there must be a clear understanding on the difference of vibe between the kitchen and the front of the house.

Blasting ethnic dancing music is nice for the kitchen staff, is cool in a large space where you have enough room to stand up and talk on standing tables, maybe sitting in a bar.

In a small restaurant with 9 tables it’s overwhelming inconvenient if you’re trying to have dinner and talk to your partner/family. I suggest to take a moment to build a chill relaxing playlist that is more adequate for the space.

Second thing, you guys must figure out your takeout system better. In such a small space, having 15 people squeezed in the hall while all the tables are full is an unpleasant experience for everyone, not to say illegal when looking to safety regulations. You simply cannot allow all this people inside at once. It’s obnoxious and it’s a hazard.

My suggestion: turn the place into a round bar style, expand the space or put a divided space for the takeout. You guys seem to be growing a lot as a business, might be time to consider an expansion if you want to go that way. If not, I would considering in making the space slightly more elegant (not much is needed) and do a reservation based system.

Ugrade your production to keep up with the demand and shorten the hour long wait time for a pizza.

Regardless, cheering for...

It's not what you think . Disappointingly Inauthentic

I've had my fair share of pizza experiences, but this place really missed the mark. As someone who appreciates true Italian cuisine, I was excited to try what I thought would be an authentic pizza joint. Unfortunately, this was just a poor imitation.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an atmosphere that felt more like a theme park than a pizzeria. The decor was lacking any of the warmth and charm you’d expect from a genuine Italian establishment.

Now, onto the pizza itself. The crust was thick and doughy, lacking that crispy, airy texture you find in true Neapolitan pizzas. The toppings felt like they were thrown on haphazardly, and the flavors were completely off. It tasted more like a fast-food version of pizza than anything authentic.

Additionally, I couldn’t help but notice the attempts at presenting the food in a way that seemed more like a gimmick rather than a nod to cultural respect. It felt disingenuous, as if they were trying to cash in on a trend rather than celebrate the culinary traditions they were imitating.

Overall, I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza, do yourself a favor and skip this place. You’ll be much better off seeking out a true Italian pizzeria that...

For the readers: This is a place to explore you pizza options... appears wood fire... but instead of wood they use gas.. so no woody flavour in the pizza... but... it will taste with some smokey flavour due to the heated bricks in the oven...

Should you you go there? Yes, definitely... I tried vegetarian pizza... but they have lots of other options too...

Dough does not contain egg ✅️

When to go.. ? Well went there during week day evening and it was.. not at all busy .. infact I got my pizza within 5-6 minutes max.. However, the labels were placed quite close to each other... so I am assuming it to become busy during weekends or any other special day..

You can also ask for Chilli oil 🌶 over their counter ...to add mo flavour to your pizza

I used it alot ... I like the oil 🤷‍♂️

Taste: Well, it was an over all good pizza with portion big enough for an adult.. First bite was really good as I bite through area that has more graded cheese... then it went flat.. 🍕... the herbs 🌿 were well distributed

Suggestion for the owner: use more grated cheese .. it will really add to the flavour experience, especially in...

Definitely one of the best pizzas in Montreal. They do the classic Makloub Tunisian sandwiches. We tried the Burratina with fresh burrata The mortadella with pistachio and pesto and fior di latte and the angels and Demons Very busy place expect to wait a bit but it’s definitely worth it

1 HOUR! To serve me a pizza and a sandwich! The food is good there were 4 tables next to me complaining about the time/service. 2 tables down from me got in an argument with what it seemed to be the manager who was screaming to the customer “stuff like that happens you have to accept it” after when we get our food after an hour they bring me a sandwich instead of the baguette I ordered, I told the “manager” this and he said “we are sorry” and did not offer to change it! Oh and I almost forget to mentioned that I asked for a glass of water 3 times and the water never arrived. What type of service is this ?? The only reason I do this is because one guys approach me at the end and gave us a $20 coupon for this, it’s just sad to see this. Edit: Yes it was the least you guys could do after so many mistakes and I thank you for that and for admitting your mistake honestly, but you need to train your manager or whoever it was with the black t-shirt better cause saying “excuse us” when they bring the wrong item to a table and leave it’s not professional, you on the other hand were professional and I admire that.
