Celebrated a family members 50th birthday yesterday on September 12, 2020. I got to say I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant in my life, and I especially never thought it would be Prima Luna because of its online reviews & stars. I don't even know where to begin but here we go.... One plate of entres were given per table of about 8-10 people, which left us starving as they were not large plates. Some people did not even get the chance to try all of the entres & the ones who did had only had around 2 bites. After asking for more plates of entres because some people did not eat, they rudely refused and kept us waiting. The salad was plain & bitter My boyfriends streak ribs literally looked like they were fresh off the supermarkets shelves... UNCOOKED & he even likes his meat red but this was PURPLE. It was completely inedible. The potatoes were honestly gross and soggy & vegetables provided on main dish were 1 pepper and broken off soggy rapini The service was out of this world bad.... we had an open bar but took us about 30-45 mins to get drinks after asking the same waiters over and over again. We asked for hot pepper for our pasta twice & never got it. Other tables were asking for simple things, with their orders completely ignored & never fulfilled. The wine is supposed to be unlimited for the entire night, but they only came ONCE to fill our glasses & never came back after being asked dozens of times. Waiters also seemed stressed & unhappy, which I don't blame them as they were clearly understaffed. Although, it makes the entire experience much worse.
The people in charge of the parties should at least try to fulfill their promises to their customers, otherwise the hype of this restaurant will just fade away one party at a time. The fact that the prices are EXTREMELY expensive makes it even worse.... really not worth the money & highly do not recommend for larger parties (my experience with smaller groups of around 2-5 people was always good) but our experience literally deserves 0 stars.
Also, a lot of my friends, including myself, were going to plan our mothers 50th at Prima Luna but no way that is happening after last night. Sorry but you guys need to do...

Step 1: First, if any of your guests ask for water to start, tell them that there is no tap water, but they can have bottles of water for the table. For extra low ratings, make sure to not mention that the cost of each bottle is 7 dollars (a whiskey is 12). Step 2: Make sure smokers are allowed to smoke right beside the entrance, and ensure there's sufficient traffic so that everyone's jacket, which should be kept right by the door, so that they can really have a mild cigarette scent when they get it back. It's even more effective if they're non-smokers. Step 3: Take about an hour to bring appetizers to the table, but don't bring them all at once, space them out so the first person gets there's and the last person gets it 15-20 minutes later. Step 4: Take another hour to deliver the main course, after you've taken the last appetizer away. Step 5: Never apologize. Step 6: If there's an escalating issue, let your wait staff deal with it, even if as the manager, you're literally standing 10 meters away flirting with the singer -tell the wait staff to inform the table that you aren't coming, and that the solution is to pay, and call with a complaint to minimize the chance of a bad online review -you only want the most dedicated 1-stars on Google. Why deal with an issue yourself when you can throw your staff under the table! Step 7: Repeat. Bonus: Give periods of 20 minutes where the waiter doesn't come by the table.

Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my experience at Prima Luna. I did my engagement there which was a very important event to me and the owner ruined it for me. He was rude, lied about conditions that we made and didn’t accommodate me with anything. Upon signing the contract, they promised certain things just because they wanted our money. When we were considering cancelling because we weren’t satisfied, they even threatened us. We have been told that the food is good but with an experience this horrible and stressful, I don’t really care how good the food is. To put on top of it, they booked several parties that same night so no one had any space at all and the food was much lower than our standards. Some of my guests had to even send back their steak because it was half over cooked and half raw which I find embarrassing. The waiters were okay but rather than serving, they were sitting with my guests and having a drink. They charged each of my guests extra for open bar but literally only opened the bar after the meal at around 11 when everyone was starting to leave. It’s really a shame that I have these memories of my own engagement because of their unprofessional and disrespectful service. I will never be going back there and I truly recommend to avoid it especially for an event. They don’t care about client satisfaction but only about making money. My father even went to speak to the owner himself to verbalize his disappointment and he had the audacity to say he didn’t care. I don’t know what kind of disgusting customer...
