Order 1: The eggs Benedict was ordered with ham but received with bacon instead. Hollandaise sauce was runny and the English muffins were not toasted. Taste was ok. Price was reasonable.
Order 2: 2 egg breakfast ( eggs well done) with bacon and side of sausage . Received order with just bacon and eggs were easy over. Sent order back to have eggs redone and to include the sausage. Tasted ok and price was reasonable.
Asked for a cafe latte but were told they did not know how to work the espresso machine. Saw one of the waitresses working the espresso machine later so not sure why we were told a latte could not be provided.
Order 3: 2 egg breakfast with bacon. Waiter kept telling me the additional sausage would be coming soon and had to remind him a couple of times I did not order additional sausage. Taste was ok and price was reasonable.
All in all the food was acceptable and the prices are cheaper than other breakfast restaurants in the area. I would recommend CDI to others but advise them to be prepared for some...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a good place to brunch since the downfall of oeufrier's quality. We found this place nearby with great reviews. We were not disappointed. I ordered the cheddar bacon crepes with a smoothie and my wife ordered the Benedictine bs eggs with extra plantains and a banana strawberry carribean smoothie (made with carnation). It was outstanding. My wife being from the Caribbean herself really enjoyed the seasoning in her eggs and the plantains were fresh and delicious. Usually when we order plantains in restaurants, they're dry and flavorless. This was not the case.
Only little downside, as a person who does not like eggs, I always struggle finding something salty that are not eggs or just a bagel. As much as my cheddar bacon crepe was delicious and will definitely order again, I wish they had more options. But I'm not taking points away because I'm the picky one.
The restaurant was fairly empty on a sunday at 11 am. With the quality of the food, I really hope this restaurant stays...
Read moreService was great! Different servers passed by multiple times to check on our food and to refill our water and coffee. One particular waiter was friendly and joked around with our kids.
The food was fantastic! I've been to multiple popular breakfast restaurants in the west island where some places are either good but too expensive, or the price is reasonable but food is just mediocre.
Among the ones we've tried in the West Island, CDI is the best one so far. The potatoes were a delight, it's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The eggs benedict was cooked perfectly. The salad and fruits on the side of the plate were good and fresh. In terms of price, quantity and quality, it hit all the marks.
(I forgot to take pictures this time, but will be going back for sure.)
Update: I went back and ordered La Belle Caro and it was...
