I don’t usually like to write reviews but Honestly I was expecting something good ! I don’t usually go to mexican restaurants because I always go with all my hopes to high ! This restaurant wasn’t the exception. 😞 for the dishes that we ordered no even close what we expect , shrimp cóctel no tasty at all , fish (al mojo de ajo??? Nothing like veracruz , fish with out flavor and that garlic sauce ???? I mean that’s not al mojo de ajo it’s a fish soak in a garlic gravy , arroz a la tumbada , my gracious !!!! We tried and to find flavor in it , nooooothing , we put a lot lime juice to make it taste better and no it wasn’t good at all, rice with no flavor ! I mean to make a rice with out flavor in a restaurant?? calamar eww hard and it was like a piece of rubber trying to chew , pricey yes!! For what we get I left that place almost crying and saying to my mom Never again I will go by social media recommendations ! I didn’t want to be so hard but honestly for what we paid and leaving soooo sad and felt like throwing up for that rice over cooked we just regretted sooo bad . Please when you open a restaurant you have to try your own food and make people try with the same flavors . It was sad...

Frijoles: diluted and liquid :(
Pupusas: only the ones with cheese offer a certain degree of crunchiness. Honestly, we tried 8 pupusas out of the 10 on the menu and I only like the ones with cheese. Traditionally eaten with sour cole slaw (which was good) and tomato sauce (which was too sour for me), when you decide to eat it on it's own, the ones without cheese were pretty bland. But it's good with their hot sauce.
It's clear this place is very authentic, whether it'd be the employees, the menu in spanish and the decor. I was only able to try the pupusas this time, but I'm interested to come bacj and try other dishes. I don't recommend the frijoles. I recommend the pupusas...
Read moreecently dined at Mexican restaurant IRIS and, unfortunately, had a very concerning experience. The biggest issue was that my chicken dish was served raw. This is a serious food safety risk, and I’m disappointed that it was served in this condition. When I brought it up, [describe how the staff responded, “the staff seemed unbothered and laughed at me saying that if I don’t had money to eat there, that I shouldn’t go back”
Additionally, they made me pay for it (I did since I wanted to leave the place) Given the health risk of undercooked chicken and the poor response to the issue, I would not feel recommend this restaurant to others. I hope the restaurant improves their food safety and customer service to avoid putting other guests at risk.
I hope this feedback can help other potential customers make...
