Deeply saddned the place closed. Was my favorite go to for tasty generous meals. My daughter with autism who lives for their Mapo Tofu doesn't understand they are closed now :( it might be impossible to find another Mapo Tofu my daughter loved so much. This place held a special place in our family for take out evenings. We've tried tons of other Chinese restos and none seem to get the Mapo Tofu good nor the rice and flavors we loved the first time we ever ate there. I read the new occupants were rude to the owners of the restaurant and it makes me so angry as they were the sweetest couple ever. Thank you for making some core memories for our family. We dearly miss your dishes and sweet and kind servuce yoir provided 💔 please open another location in a more exposed area as you deserve the success that specific spot possibly didn't give you! Miss your resto now.

Came in to eat today; love how CLEAN the space is and how prompt and professional service from the server/owner. Very helpful and kind.

We ordered a feast today to kick off the holidays. Shrimps in lobster sauce 9/10. Pad thai 9/10. Cantonese Chow Mein 5/10 because it only had a couple pieces of chicken, no pork and 2 shrimps with too many vegetables - much less than the first time at 18$ for the plate, would like to see more generous portions of meat though the taste is 10/10. The corn and chicken soup is 8/10. Salt and pepper shrimps are good 8/10. Salt and pepper squid 8/10. The breading on the salt and pepper seafood could be more crispy like at Star Noodle downtown who boasts the best in Montreal for salt and pepper squid and shrimp. The complimentary chicken fried rice is 8/10. Their shrimp, pork and beef fried rice is much better which is 10/10. Our favorite chinese fare resto in cote des neiges. Keep up the amazing flavor and quality though the meat portions were lacking much today, it doesnt take away from the amazing flavors. Thank you once again for wonderful food...

I eat Chinese food about 1-2/month regularly with a couple of friends. We try different places all the time to rate and judge. I am a restaurateur as well, so I am fairly critical. Sing Fai surprised me. The neighbourhood is quite dilapidated; garbage strewn on the street, vagrants fighting, very poor lighting, etc. Once at the restaurant, the decor is makeshift, ill-conceived and at the budget's end. Dried-up flower pots, plastic curtain at the register, bright white lighting. We were the only people dining there the entire service. However, it was clean.

It all belies the treat that awaits you at the table. Friendly service ready to cater to your every need. Our server was smiling, attentive and easy to talk to. Mind you, we were the only ones there. The food was great! We were all very pleasantly surprised as each dish came to our table. The salt & Pepper shrimp & Pork both had nice crispy light and tasty batters. The blackbean beef wasn't overly salty, beef chowmein was spot-on, the veg fried rice was light fluffy & had very fresh veggies. General tao breading was a tad to thick, but the sauce was quite good. All-in-all we were all very pleased with our meals and look forward to going back. Also, each dish was 10-15% less than in Chinatown, but worth 10-15%...

My wife and I went for dinner on Sunday Dec 10. The food was fresh and the portions were quite large. The lady serving us was friendly, however; and this is when the bad experience started. We got the bill for $56.20 and when we handed her $60.00 cash, she demanded $2.00 extra for the tip but we were going to leave $5.00 extra on the table when we leave. She thought we would just leave $4.00 she went away chuckling dissaproving of the tip amount without even knowing we're leaving extra cash. It's the first time this ever happens to us, and they ALWAYS give us the change and then we leave the tip which is usually 15%+. So, a word of advise to all of you who will be eating at this place, beware of the tip tantrum...

Chinese is best served right out of the kitchen piping hot, as a take out option the quality and quantity was great. Very compatible to the best restaurants in Chinatown. General tao has a great balance of flavours Sweet, spicy and a little tangy. Appreciate the generous chunks of chicken and the batter around is perfect(batter to chicken ratio is on point!). Salt and pepper tofu was flavourful too. *We didn't order salt and pepper pork because I am picky and want to try it sizzling hot out of the kitchen* Hot and sour soup was filled with treasures too. Looking forward to dinning in (the future post covid lockdown) and tasting the dishes hot out off the wok!

I ordered the general tao chicken, veg shanghai noodles and crab rangoons. I must mention the crab rangoons had absolutely NO crab. It was literally fried wrapped cream cheese (photo proof is attached). So that was really disappointing to spend $7 for 4 very sad crab rangoons. That is unacceptable. I did enjoy the general tao chicken; it was crunchy, cooked well and the sauce is perfect. The veg shanghai noodles were also tasty, I just find there weren't enough veg for me. Overall, I think there are certain items that are better than others (according to reviews) so I guess you just have to know what to order. But I am a little disappointed having spent over $40

Ordered food for takeout yesterday. Very good value for the price. Food was not overly salty like usual Chinese restaurants (and I've tried plenty of them), which is a big plus of this one. The only negative point I would have is that I think they could have been a little bit more generous on meat for both the chow mein and rice noodles + on the amount of sauce in their rice noodles. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal. I would definitely come back!
