I am a tourist and came here with my husband last night for dinner since it was close to where we were visiting. I ordered veal picatta and my husband ordered chicken dijon. First the server comes back an says no chicken. So no problem he changes to a burger and vegetables instead of fries. Then the food arrives and his dish is fabulous. I didn't take a picture of his.. mine is a disaster. I took a picture of that. The veal was floured and fried but it appears they just squirted it with some lemon juice and laid the lemons on top. It was a gooey sour mess. No hint of delicate butter wine sauce. Not a caper in sight. I only ate one bite. The drinks we ordered were good and the server was nice. They did take the veal off the bill. I was so upset at no dinner and hungry I just paid and left. When I pulled out my receipt this morning I discover we are charged for the chicken dijon that the server says they were out of. We are from Texas and have no idea if we will ever make it back here to attempt to get it resolved. As I type this we just came through customs and back into the states. Read moreImagine a bunch of black girls from age ranges of 13-17 and a young man celebrating a friend’s birthday. We chose zibo for a good time, except it wasn’t really what we anticipated. Firstly, the waitresses were not friendly to us and almost seemed as if they were ignoring us when we called them for assistance. The main waitress that was serving our table was never around which forced us to call on other waitresses who were not even serving our section. The waitress kept forgetting that we had ordered, so we had to keep reminding her which made our food come out later than your normal “late”. We had a birthday cake after dinner that we tipped off the waitress to bring after we were done eating and she took over 20 minutes to bring the cake. At this point we were just ready to get of there.
Zibo! No matter what clientele you receive our first point of contact should be welcoming and friendly no matter what; your restaurant receptionist. We are well mannered young adults who wanted to have a great time. We will not make it a race thing, but your waitresses should never be judgemental or catty for any reason. Big deception tonight at "Zibo " I do not like to make poor reviews , but sometimes you have no choice .
They over cooked the " filet mignon " Which was requested medium rare .
It was well done , the waitress said no problem will replace it and give a discount .
The excuse they gave the steak wasn't prepared by the chef , but a helper!
When the server brought the bill , there wasn't any discount. I told him we where promised an discount he said no one told him ! Communication between employees in that establishment seems deficient .
He came back we a discounted bill of $ 15.00 on an original price of $ 315.00 approximately.Definitly no math whizz here because of there explanation that follows
I told them it wasn't enough , 3 or 4 employees came to argue with me . One even told me it was restaurant policy 10% discount , but even then they where wrong a bill of $315.00 a $15.00 dollars discount is not quite 5% 🤔.
They finally gave $49.00 after I argued that there competitor gave me the plate for free after the same mistake and with no arguments .
Anyhow the problem was finally solve and are waiter was fully apologistic.
