Rubian (Bélanger) — Restaurant in Montreal

My husband and I came here on our last day of being in Montreal. We were worried about coming in too early as they had just opened but as soon as we entered they greeted us so warmly with big smiles.

The fish sandwich was so delicious, and I appreciate the bread being buttered as well. The fish itself was perfectly crisp on the outside and flaky, and soft yet firm on the inside. You could tell the fish was really fresh! They definitely give you a perfect portion of fish for the sandwich. The sauce and coleslaw were excellent too. I was hesitant to have the cheese with it at first but it actually went really well with it, so I’m glad I got it as is.

The poutine was also great and the cheese curds tasted fresh.

As we left they asked us how everything was, if it tasted good and if we enjoyed. You can tell they really care.

Everything was amazing and the wonderful customer service made the experience even moreso. Our only regret is that we came here on the last day of our trip. But we will definitely be back next time we come to...

The place is clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable dining experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and respectful, adding a personal touch to the meal.

As for the food, it was fantastic. The Bang Bang shrimp and the fish burger are absolute MUST-TRIES, both were flavorful and cooked to perfection.

One slight DOWNSIDE is that the menu is a bit limited in terms of choices, but what they do offer is excellent.

On the PLUS side, they have an impressive selection of fizzy drinks, from Fresca to Orangina and even Selecto. If you’re looking for something more unique, their in-house iced teas and lemonades, which come in different flavors, are refreshing options.

Overall, a great spot for a delicious, reasonably priced...

Just had an awesome meal at Rubian

I tried the Shrimp Bowl, and it was amazing. The shrimp was super fresh, the veggies were crunchy and tasty, and the sauce was phenomenal. The portions are huge, so I definitely didn’t leave hungry.

The Shrimp Poutine was something else! Who knew shrimp and poutine could go so well together? The sauces were spot on, and the cheese curds were melty and delicious.

The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Plus, the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. Prices are fair for the quality and creativity you get.

Whether you’re into seafood or not, Rubian will change your mind. You’ve got to check it out I’m already looking forward to...
