Seasoned Dreams — Restaurant in Montreal

This use to be the spot. I am very disappointed with the food and service I received. You cannot order over the phone only online, what happened to talking to people nowadays? Ever since they changed owner of the restaurant; the food is not the same. Their jerk Mac and cheese use to be a hit. This is not the same place I knew. We ordered jerk Mac, Mac with chicken strips and a crunch burger. The chicken was dry, lacking that bold, smoky, spicy flavor you expect from proper jerk—it tasted more like a rotisserie chicken with some seasoning sprinkled on after. Tastes nothing like a jerk Mac. It also came with rice which was very hard and seemed like they just heated it up in the microwave. The Mac and cheese, tasted like craft single cheese, bland, definitely not creamy or cheesy the way it should be or the way advertised. For the price we paid, totally not worth it. The crunch burger was soggy, the chicken did not taste good. It felt like both dishes were made with no effort or care, which is frustrating given how amazing these foods can be when done right. Definitely not...

Food: Excellent food, especially the wings and the poutine. Small menu for simplicity and almost all items are delicious. Wednesday wings are worth it.

Service: I only expect great service when the place is pricey. As its quite pricey, I expected good service. A part from looking tired out, employees were friendly and kind.

Wait time: Its often crowded and the wait is "20 mins" (more like an hour for me). I was told by the guy that the cashier forgot to tell me that the chicken wasn't ready so I waited a total of 1 hour. I was honestly not happy about that and I hope next time they can prep better for the crowd so no one has to wait an hour for take out food. Thats why I gave 3 stars rather than 5. 1 hour wait is insane.

I am an amateur of Carribean food so cannot attest to the authenticity.

Overall, recommended and would return, but if I was to wait an hour again I will notnreturn and not recommend. I believe its the restaurant managers job to ensure that there is adequate food...

Update: Ordered via UberEats and it was a great experience. Got our food in about 40 minutes, and it was delicious. The jerk pork, chicken and mac and cheese were awesome. The plantains some of the best I've had. Coleslaw tasted homemade. Yum!

Ordered via the Seasoned Dreams website. After waiting an hour and a half I decided to call to get an update on my order. My call went repeatedly to a full voicemail. Wait patiently another half hour, before calling again. This time my call was answered. Only to be told that there's a glitch on their website, and they never receive orders placed on it. I was given the choice between cancelling my order, or placing it with the person I was speaking with. I was told if I placed a new order, it would be a while.
