Pizza Ville Émard — Restaurant in Montreal

The place feels a little cramped, but they have absolutely incredible food! I am very glad my friends told me to order the small pizza, "petíte", as it was enormous. When a hamburger is $4.50 CAD and a small pizza is $16-something, you know you're in for a treat. Before the food arrived, our server pulled an additional table over next to ours... to hold my "small" pizza. When it came out, my jaw dropped. It was huge  (I don't know; 12"?), thick (2cm crust), and LOADED with toppings of 4+ different meats. Our server then gave me a plate equal in size to the one holding the pizza, and used the two large spoons that had been resting on the pizza to serve me a single slice from it (one-quarter of the pizza) and scoop back up all the toppings that had fallen off. The flavor was incredible! The bread, cheese, and meats all had the perfect amounts of moisture (grease) with none having too much or possessing an appearing oily. One slice was more than enough to fill me up, but because, as I said at the time, "It will never be as good later as it is now," I managed to put down another half slice before admitting defeat to this mighty and...

Food is delicious, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, service is friendly. We ordered the pizza with thick crust and it had a generous amount of cheese and the crust was superb. French fries are classic Quebec style (soft and greasy), not frozen fries like other places. The woman who answers the phone (for delivery orders)is very pleasant and knows the menu well.

Update: June 4: ordered a "meat lover" pizza and a medium fry -- the pizza had hamburger crumbs (not crumbled hamburger chunks, just crumbs) and small slices of pepperoni which looked like they actually counted out each tiny piece (no ham, and no bacon); the cheese was melted flat; and the fries were dried out and tasteless. Charged me 71$ for this pathetic meal. If this is what they consider "meat lover" then they must be vegetarian! I've been ordering from this restaurant for years and the food has always been excellent. Well, not anymore. Lost a...

I need to edit my comment. For many years I loved this place, we would order on a regular basis. The cost was great but I never had a problem paying more. Last few times though the quality has gone way down. And the cost sligglty up. I thought it was a one off occurrence but it has been repeating and is now the normal standard. There is barely any chicken in the club sandwiches, it's unbelievable, almost none. And they are dressing it up in some weird spice. Just charge more for good club sandwiches and have a *special' club sandwich option for the cheapos. People willing to pay for fresh and delicious chicken club sandwiches will stick around, believe me.
