Placed an order online for pick-up. Arrived ahead of schedule for the pick-up time, and the guy at the counter told me that my food had already been picked up. I showed him my order receipt from my e-mail, I showed him through the app's order history, and even showed him the charge on my credit card. He (falsely) claimed that the person who picked up my food had showed him the same, and that there was nothing he could do, because my "friend had picked up the order already."
I decided to contact the SPVM in order to file a police report, to facilitate a chargeback with my credit card company, and while I was on hold to do so, the gentleman who had received my food came back to the restaurant, also claiming he had gotten the wrong thing -- obviously. He showed his order info to both the employee, and myself, and the information was nothing like mine; the names were not similar, the orders were not similar, the order numbers were not similar - nothing. We had never met.
At this point the employee - who up until this point was adamant he had not made a mistake - finally remade my food.
I have worked in the restaurant industry for decades, and in my entire life I have never felt the need to argue with a customer over two sandwiches, especially when I had potentially made a mistake. This employee was so cocksure, so confident that he had not made a mistake, that he accused me of trying to scam the restaurant. I will be contacting head office about this as well, but I wanted everyone to know that this type of error occurs at this restaurant, and employees will literally cuss you out trying to cover their own mistakes, rather than just remake the food. Which wasn't very good anyway.

Read moreI ordered through uber eats. They gave me STALE bread that was soft in some places and rock solid in others. The veggies were old and dry. In blind hunger I still attempted to eat it and nearly puked my brains out after eating half. There was no care or thought when it was put together. (Btw don't bother putting anything notes, they won't do it) The point? Stay as far away from this place if you care about what you put in your body. The worst subway experience...
