I’m pleased that they offer delivery for local areas however they only accept cash or debit card (no credit card). Prices also increased so the menu you see on their website is no longer valid, as per the employee I spoke on the phone with earlier, the prices changed since 1.5 years ago. Update your menu and prices on you website then? — June 2022 update: One of the best takoyakis I’ve had in Montréal. The octopus was cooked to perfection and wasn’t chewy like rubber (a mistake that many sellers commit!) and it was just so delicious. We always return for their sushi bae tower and poke bowl, and now, we’ll definitely be adding takoyaki to our order everytime. —— The Sushi Bae Tower $11.50 (tax incl.) was nice but the Dynamite sushi roll $9.72 (tax incl.) we got was mediocre. For 4.5* rated place, I do expect consistent good quality for all their sushi.

Ordered from Sushi Bae for the first time via UberEats. We had the 30 mcx sushi combo for 2 ppl + 2 sides (in this case, we got miso soup) was $35.95 before tax and delivery + service fees. It was affordable and filling for two people, however we noticed that there was a lot of rice in the rolls. There were also lots of cucumber rolls and we were hoping for at least 1 avocado hosomaki. You could also tell there was less fish included and extra pieces of greens (lettuce)? added that you wouldn't typically find in rolls. It was yummy and we'd order again, knowing that it's an affordable spot yet not the best in town. Thank you!

Take out sushi place on Wellington. I ordered by phone, and it was ready in 20 minutes. My +1 only eats Makis, so we got a few of those, I tried a few different things, like the volcano fried roll and the takoyaki, and frankly it was better than I expected. The takoyaki was creamy in texture, with plenty of tasty bonito flakes. When you order for over 25$, you get free futomakis (but you have to ask for them). So I ended up with a ton of food, and for entry level sushi at reasonable prices it was as good as it gets quality wise.

Meh! Nothing exceptionnel. Standard sushi. Sashimi slices are thin. Since this place has no seating, all products are put in to-go boxes. One of the pleasures of splurigng for sushi is its presentation. Meh!

Good matching of sauces with the different items.

Special fee sushi depending on how much you spend. Sushi rewards comes automatically when your order exhausted the required limits.

The salmon katsu was a novel twist on plain salmon sashimi. Tasty. The red tuna sashimi was tough. Yes, you read correctly. Not tender. The sushi roll wrapped in cucumber came somewhat undone in the to-go box.

Sushi Bae is a popular neighborhood place. Three busy sushi chefs and the order taker warns of a 30- minute wait to get your order. I was there during rush time.

Service was curt. The guy did his best to be polite but was clearly stressed by all the orders. I've been to many sushi restaurants. Busy ones. When zen doesn't work, the head chef injects some positive energy to support the team and get it in a better head space. This positive energy creates a vibe that also positively affects waiting customers. Just a thought . ..

STAFF IS RUDE specifically the guy at the counter.

I went for pick up. I asked for a simple question and the cashier told me "like I juste said two sentences aguo you have this choice or that choice." All this while making a huge face and rolling his eyes up. He seemed like if he was frustrated at life and was throwing it to the customers! He was disrespectful and it gave a super awkward moment. I've never felt bad for ordering food till now.

Im happy that I took for take-out because I would've not want to stay there with his attitude.

Sushi were ok

I will never go back to that place again. I had to remain calm and kind but never again. It's simple, give bad attitude for free, lose customers.

After looking through reviews it seams Im not the first customer who's had this type of reaction thrown at! I will gladly bring my money to the others sushi places nearby at literally 10mins walk from there!

Dont...

The last 4-5 times my partner and I have eaten from Sushi Bae, we experienced some kind of food poisoning. We thought perhaps at first it was due to allergies because it had never occurred prior to the 4-5 times that we ate from here (and we order frequently). It is always the next day that we both feel ill.

Overall, the flavors are delicious and the presentation is aesthetically pleasing (with flowers and even cute designs in the wasabi). This really is a great sushi place, despite our recent experiences.

However, we will have to stop coming here unfortunately. This use to be our favorite sushi place in all of Montreal, but lately we have experienced adverse reactions from the food...could be that the fish is not refrigerated properly or that there are sanitary issues & bacterial overgrowths affecting the digestive system of clients...something...
