I give it another shot. Naw it's getting worse by the day. Avoid this place they no longer take pride in there food. Very disappointed.Today I order what I've been ordering for the pass 30 years Ensalada de PALTA RELLENA de pollo. Palta= Avocado and Rellena= Fill...first of, the avocado was not ready to eat, so hard that I coudint even slice it with a fork. Second, there was not more then a quarter of a very thin slice avocado they used to put a whole one, cut in half, and *FILL*(Hence Fill in the name of the dish) it with the chicken salad with a home made mayo. They would also give some of the same mayo on the side, to use as dressing on the mix lettuce. Home mayo no where to be found and its the best part of the dish. Also the side dish of marinated onions that come with most of the dishes that they serve where just RAW! When confronting the owner she deny everything. 80$+ =a quarter of unripe avocado + half of cup of dice dry chicken and some mix veg and lettuce X2 and some fried fish.... sad to say the last few times where the same. I give them a few chances but clearly there not getting better.. After 30 years i'm done with this place..Not going back! not recommending it to anyone..

Food is fantastic, but do not expect stellar service. This restaurant is under-staffed. Our server paid us little attention. My wife ordered a piñia colada, the server lied and said the machine was broken. We asked another server for the same drink and this time she went and got it for us. The bathroom had no paper towels with no air dryer. Now, you figure out how I dried my hands. Above all, they do not accept American Express. This is a form of discrimination. What if I did not have a visa or Mastercard? I would have had to wash the dishes. Too cheap to accept Amex. My business will be taken elsewhere. When I told the staff how disappointed I was with the fact that they did not accept Amex, one person who appeared to be the owner yelled across the bar area, "no Amex is accepted in Quebec. " What? Is that even factual? The guy told me it's written on the door that VISA and Mastercard are the only form of payments accepted. I went to the door to verify that I did not miss the sign. There it was, nothing said that Amex is not accepted. Instead of backing off, the owner had the audacity to tell me that I should have asked them about taking Amex before eating the food. Seriously?

I’ve had my fair share of letdowns when it comes to Peruvian food in Montreal, especially those places on Saint-Hubert Av. But Villa Wellington in Verdun is one exception you won’t want to miss. Let’s cut to the chase: Lomo Saltado here is pretty darn decent. The beef is flavorful and comes with a generous portion of crispy fries and rice—just like back home. The Seco con Frejoles and Choritos a la Chalaca are also solid choices, each with a comforting, home-style vibe that’s hard to find in this city. Prices? Totally fair, especially considering the generous portions. You’ll leave full and happy without feeling like you’ve overpaid. The vibe is cozy and unpretentious—definitely a family-run spot that feels authentic. Service is friendly, even when the place gets busy (and it does—so book ahead!). I’ll definitely be back for another round of Lomo Saltado—and maybe next time, I’ll finally try the Piqueo Wellington sampler! Not perfect, but for Montreal, this is as close as it gets for Peruvian comfort food. It’s worth it!

I'm not sure how everyone can say this place has excellent food, especially with the amount of restaurants in Montreal, and the rest of the options in Verdun (and there are many options).

I recently went there with friends and although the service was great (Sunday evening) the food was just average. My friend had the calamari (fried) which was very poorly done, the batter just falling off and the calamari rubbery/overcooked. Both myself and another friend had the ceviche which I found very bland - I've had better throughout other restaurants in Montreal. I had the Arroz con Mariscos and I found the calamari to be tough in this dish.

So, overall I didn't find the place to have great value for the cost, so it's very unlikely I will return here.

On a side note (and not having to do with the food quality), would it be too much for a restaurant to post their menu online - their facebook page pictures of the menu are sideways - does it take a rocket scientist to have them rotated so you can read them? Geez... kinda goes to show how concerned they are...
