Sushi Shop — Restaurant in Montreal

We should have read the reviews before going and we should have walk out when we first entered the place. The restaurant was not clean at all. The empty fridge did not have a quick takeout option, only juices. There was 2 bicycles parked inside the small restaurant, yes inside. Toys and back packs on two tables, crumbs on the other tables and some trash on the floor. A box of kitchenware on the counter. Not inviting at all. We ordered two salmon poke bowls. The salmon was almost boiled, overcooked, tasteless and not torched per the menu. We expected more from Sushi Shop and are very disappointed. Our comments are for this location specifically. First time at this sushi chain and I must say it was a disappointing experience. We took away a poke bowl (paid CAD 19.49) for an homard crevette Poké bowl and the quality and taste was mediocre. Quality of ingredients was subpar and they only provided the food without any regular amenities, the poke bowl opened up in my backpack and some of the food spilled in my bag.

I-Sushi in Downtown is much much superior in terms of quality, taste, presentation and service. They also do lobster dishes and it is definitely not at this price point. Will not be returning...

I rated 1 star because 0 is not an option. VERY BAD SERVICE and horrible sushi. I’m a sushi lover but I won’t go there anymore. I tried them twice, second time worse than the first time. First time she asked Tip for take out, I would leave some if they were welcoming & nice. Second time after a while I thought I have to give them another chance and this time rud and bad service plus sushi that is not eatable. For 55$ I had dry rice with bacon instead of salmon and normal sticky sushi rice. Very disappointed of Sushi shop...
